I’ve been shopping at ALDI for a while now, and this location continues to impress me with its consistent value, ease, and comfort. From the wide aisles and clean layout to the unbeatable prices on everyday staples, ALDI makes grocery shopping a truly pleasant experience.
One of the things I appreciate most is ALDI’s commitment to accessibility and efficiency. This store is wheelchair-friendly, with ample space to move around and even wheelchairs available for customers who need them—a detail that speaks volumes about ALDI’s thoughtful approach to community care.
Their produce section is fresh and well-priced, making it easy to stock up on fruits and vegetables without breaking the bank. The ready-to-go meals, like their large family pizzas, are delicious and a real lifesaver on busy nights. I also love browsing their homegoods aisle, which always has unique and affordable items that surprise and delight. And some products—like their Argentine shrimp or the plants they sometimes carry—feel like little treasures you just can’t find anywhere else at these prices.
And of course, I want to commend the staff, especially Jonathan, who consistently brings professionalism, speed, and a genuine sense of joy to his work. He’s fast without ever being rushed, courteous without losing warmth. People like Jonathan are the heartbeat of ALDI’s customer experience and a big reason I look forward to coming back.
Thank you, ALDI, for creating such a well-run, welcoming store. You’ve earned my loyalty—and...
Read moreI love ALDI stores in general, but the new ones are super irritating in a couple of ways. 1.) Why am I hearing a REALLY loud phone ringing constantly? It is absolutely maddening to hear it constantly while you try to shop. 2.) The self-checkout machines are also maddening. You can't possibly go fast enough - if you hesitate a half second while you're grabbing another item out of your cart, it loudly says something like "Please scan another item, or use the pinpad to complete.." If you have a full cartload like me, you'll hear this irritating voice over and over and over and over. Yet if you try to go super fast, it won't register the scans. Incredibly frustrating. I usually prefer to use self-checkout, but they skimped on these units. I have to go through the cashier line at this store to avoid the machines, and there is usually only ONE cashier, who is also in charge of watching over the self checkouts.
EDITED TO ADD: I learned the phone ringing noise is how the self checkouts alert the cashier someone needs assistance. :/
THANK YOU ALDI for turning off the annoying "scan another item" voice on the self...
Read moreWell, I had high hopes for an Aldi store in Northampton, but I guess I was a fool. It appears that they have gone the way of many stores: Self checkout. So you have to stand there and do the work yourself, and try to find where the stupid bar code is hidden on your item, while listening to the computer tell you to get a move on and do something. Perhaps the next step will be that customers will have to start stocking the shelves, and then maybe we'll get to get some good exercise by moving on to the loading docks. Of course, other reviews here indicate that the actual cashiers must have been raised in a barn by wolves. One easy solution, I guess: ...
