Pure Hockey — Local services in Northfield Township

I placed an order for a pair of $300+ skates on Dec 15th that I was told should likely be ready before Christmas. It's now Feb 4th and I've missed on much outdoor hockey with my family, sadly. I've checked the order status a few times in which it still hadn't shipped. The URL link in the email doesn't even work anymore as it now says it's an invalid site. I've tried calling a few times but don't get a response. How disappointing :-( Order Number: 51-3642975 Followed up again today, Feb 13th, with the store to request my money back. They said they have the skates now but I would need to come into the store to cancel. What?!! I said it still shows UPS hasn't shipped and no one has ever called me to say the skates are in. They said there were recently received. I pushed back and they were able to cancel via the phone. The person on the phone was super non apologetic and didn't seem to care in the least. Stopped to get my skates sharpened before practice. At the skate sharpening island in the middle of the store was one teenage boy sharpening a pair of skates and seemingly just talking to two other teens that appeared to be his friends. When I asked him to sharpen my skates he said it would be at least two hours because of a backlog of skates that need sharpening. Here's the thing, the other skates were left to be sharpened and I was there and waiting so instead of sharpening my skates and allowing me to browse the store and buy something else he essentially sent me away. Not great for business but what does a teen care? I stopped at the counter on my way out and asked where their puck bags were, they had no idea and informed me that they didn't think they sold them. Since my competitive playing days are over I rarely have to hit up a hockey store unless I need a stick for coaching etc.

The location is convenient for me not to far from our house and right off Willow Rd. The young man that helped me was nice and seems like they do have a pretty solid staff. The store is loaded with all hockey related stuff so no wonder they were decently busy. My main gripe and not just this location is the pricing for all hockey related gear has gotten out of hand. It costs a small fortune to play hockey and every time you need a piece of gear hits you right in the wallet. I will be back though don't have much...
