La Taquiza Glenview — Restaurant in Northfield Township

BUYER BEWARE!! I came to this location after I noticed the other location was closed for the day about a month ago. I thought the food quality would be the same. I got the three taco dinner (carne asada) for takeout. When I came up and opened up the box, I knew I shouldn’t have eaten it. The asada smelled really bad and the beans were BLACK. I decided to eat it anyway as the drive is far and I was very hungry. The food tasted extremely old; the beans tasted like they came from the bottom of the pan, the rice was putrid, and the asada was dangerously undercooked. I spent the next week with food poisoning due to this restaraunt. I used to be a very frequent customer to the other location but after missing so many days of work and having to deal with hospital bills now, I will NEVER come here again. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE, THERE ARE WAY BETTER AUTHENTIC MEXICAN RESTARAUNTS...

I was scared of coming to this restaurant at first as I thought it was going to be one of those "white people" Mexican restaurant but boy was I wrong. Let me start off with saying the staff is amazing! The first time I went, there was a young Hispanic boy and he was super helpful and very understanding as it was my first time there. Second time, there was a nice older Hispanic man, I believe his name was Antonio? Very nice and helpful as well. Service, 10/10! Onto food... You are getting your moneys worth. The burritos are huge! The tacos are completely filled up. It's a bit pricey but it's 100% worth it. That orange salsa is my absolute favorite. It reminds me exactly of my moms salsa. This is amazing Mexican food. Foods, 10/10. My Mexican family and me are obsessed and very satisfied customers. Keep up the amazing service...

DO NOT EAT HERE. Poor customer service and food is mediocre. I googled authentic Mexican restaurants in the area and this place came up. I ordered 2 chicken tacos to go & an order of chips & guac. Instead I received 1 dry unseasoned chicken taco and chips (STALE) with salsa. When I got back to my office I was completely dissatisfied with their quality of food and customer service. Nothing AUTHENTIC at all about this place.

AGAIN UNPROFESSIONAL EVERY IS ENTITLED TO A LUNCH HOUR. THE FACT THAT YOU HAVE RESPONDED WITH SARCASIM JUST SHOWS WHAT TYPE OF COMPANY THIS IS. I FIND REAL GOOD TOP OF THE LINE HANDS DOWN GREAT MEXICAN FOOD IN CHICAGO NOT THE GARBAGE YOU ARE SELLING. AS AN OWNER YOUR REPLY JUST MADE YOU LOOK 10X WORSE. I WILL CONTINUE TO HAVE A GREAT...
