Reserved 1:30 time slot for 9 people for all access adrenaline pass for Feb 17, 2024.. Arrived 30 min prior to check in and was told to use computer to register, though had entered all info and signed waivers online. Female clerk took forever to check us in for go cart racing times. Could be a system issue, but she was having trouble keeping things straight. This was our first visit and I specifically had to ask how things worked. I was expecting a formal greeting and explanation. Her answer was not informative at all so I asked a go cart attendant to explain it. Bc there were 2 races in between our two races, we could not do any other activity bc of wait times. When we were finished racing there were 15 minute wait times for virtual reality and you had to stay and wait or lose your spot. When we were doing the simulators for the last time, the attendant came in and shut it down in the middle of the game bc they needed to check in the next round of people. It wasn't even 330 yet, but he said we couldn't play without a "pod person." This place was either extremely mismanaged or woefully understaffed this day. And the attendants that were working were less than professional, inefficient, and neglectful of their customers and their responsibilities. One attendant watching the track during a race was LOOKING DOWN AT HIS CELLPHONE and I had to get his attention bc a Jr racer had gotten stuck and needed assistance. Every time you get slowed down, it cuts into your 6min race. I really wish there had been a qualified manager or owner there undercover to witness the inadequate service provided during the 130 to 330 time slot. In addition, we waited 30 minutes for a pizza and 2 orders of wings placed at 330 and received the pizza and 1 order of wings, though pd for 2, and the crew member said she thought we were sharing an order. What?? So we had to wait another 20 minutes. We were also told to keep our cups for the unlimited drink pass, yet there was no safe place to put them while we did an activity. And I had to ask for a marker to write names on the cup. Something she could have suggested or offered. I'm glad other people have had a good experience based on the other reviews I've read. This day, however, was a less than stellar experience for the $500+ we paid.
FYI: The same day as posting this review, the Franchise Owner has been in touch and addressing the situation and giving us a second chance. Kudos for caring! I am very...
Read moreMade reservations for Full Throttle after not having been here for years... before our kids (now 8 and 9) were born! Due to life being life and some urgent things to tend to before we could drive up there, we showed up late (right at our Adrenaline Pass start time) which was a huge mistake. Lesson learned - SHOW UP EARLY. But a customer who gets delayed shouldn't be horribly punished.
All the kart times were booked from our 1:30pm-3:30pm time slot so they put us "back to back" at the end of the session. I guess if I'm going to review the place - if someone makes a reservation and pays in advance, shouldn't you hold the spots so they can ride the go karts during their reserved session?
Everyone enjoyed the AI and Sim experiences, and the staff were very nice and welcoming for those experiences.
My younger son had trouble with the strength it takes to turn the go kart wheels on the "big boy karts", and crashed into the wall twice. They stopped our session and asked us to switch to the kiddie go karts. That's fine - but the kiddie go karts were not big enough for my ample hips. I wish they had compensated us for the first session - our entire group got less than two minutes of actual karting time.
The employees told us we'd need to wait another hour (45 minutes after our 2-hour Adrenaline Pass was over) to get in our second ride because they needed to "recharge the batteries" on the karts. To the credit of the manager there, he made it work (despite the poor/rude service of the other employees, preventing this from being a 1-star review) by putting our younger kids in the kiddie karts for one ride, and letting my wife and I ride in the adult karts during the "in between" time after our session was supposedly over.
If we had been put in a karting session earlier in our 2 hour time slot (since we had reservations), this probably wouldn't have been an issue. A pre-paid reservation is a...
Read moreFirst and last time going. Paid online the previous day for the adrenaline pass. Took less than five minutes to fill out forms today once I got there. Staff was nice but they seemed understaffed. Waited an hour to do go karts and were never called. Went to the front desk to ask when we were going to be up. I donât know why because it seems inefficient but they have the go karts done in party groups instead of just waiting in a line to go. Lady at the front desk tells us weâll be up in 20 minutes, so we wait and are still not called. There was so much waiting around. There are only three activities to even do. The driving simulation was constantly being used and the attendant over there was not proactive at all even though I had walked over there multiple times I had no idea if I was supposed to be helped, stand around and wait, or ask someone using it if I could next. Iâve never been so bored at a literal amusement park. The only highlight of this terribly disappointing experience was the lady working the VR station she was awesome, interactive and incredibly helpful. I spent an insane amount of time walking through this building aimlessly and sitting down with nothing to do. At some point we decided to leave after only doing the VR twice, got no go kart time that we paid for. Wasted like $80 today and didnât even bother going to the desk to ask for a refund because I was just busy trying to salvage what was left of this pathetic day. It probably wouldâve been better to go in a larger group but honestly I would never bring anyone else here ever again. There is absolutely no reason to pay this much to have to wait two hours maybe even more if we actually stayed long enough to...
