Only 1 star because there was no option to give less. Had my grandson's 1st birthday party at the Novi location and was beyond disappointing. When we arrived the tables were dirty, food was all over the tables and floors. I request for cleaning supplies because our party host, I guess cleaning was above her. I had to clean myself. Party host treated my entire party as if we were nothing and gave us terrible service every step of the way with a smirk on her face. There were no napkins on the tables, I had to run around to grab napkins from others tables. Dip dots were sat on the table without spoons for the kids. Host refused to give spoons. I had to go get them myself. The party started at 5:30 and at 5:40 the food order was placed for the party guest parents. Only the pizza came. I had to continue to ask the host for cups for the parents to get drinks. Those were provide at 6:20, parents additional food items order was not but in the oven until 7:20 pm, 10 minutes before the party was set to be over and the order was wrong. Parents were not happy. Host was not bothered, never came to the table to check on the kids or see if we needed anything. I was told that our host has never received a complaint which leads me to believe skin tone was a problem. At $30 a kid to not have your host greet you, not be attentive, make parents wait to get their food and think it's funny is really sad. The manager was spineless. She did nothing. The staff was not listening to her either. Manager said I thought you were okay after we cleaned a little and expressed that they were trying to do the bare minimum to shut me up. I have never been treated like this. Our table not being serviced while all the other parties are getting their food and having fun. May I add those tables had a different skin tone. I will never go to any of their locations again. You know when African Americans are treated wrong and speak up we are sometimes considered hostile but no one looks at the reason we are hurt and upset. I want to believe that the host had a different issue with us for the chuck e cheese sake. I am tried of organization thinking it's okay to treat people like garbage, charge all this money and we are supposed to just accept it. Manager just wanted us out, we are out but this is not over. I will be call corporate and sending in letter. This organization should be ashamed of this location it's staff and the manager running it. My I also add the staff was walking around talking about how they aren't going to keep doing all this work ( no work was being done), laughing talking about how they don't like their...
Read moreJust horrible. Had a birthday party here for my 4 year old. My first impression of the place was the strong odor of marijuana as soon as we entered. It lingered to the very back of the restaurant. That was a bit surprising. The employees were disorganized and didn't appear to enjoy their job in the slightest. It took a long time to get our pizzas and they forgot to bring one. The last pizza came out just before the cake was served. The hostess served each child two slices of pizza without asking us. With kids ranging from 1.5 years old to 4 years old, 2 slices at once was not necessary so a lot of food got wasted. We paid to have 2 full hours (from 5:30-7:30). Around 7pm, while the kids were off playing, the hostess started throwing away plates of food and plates of untouched cake without saying a word to anyone. She took away our full pitchers of drinks. Also, she started grabbing my son's gifts and moving them further away to a booth so she could "clean everything up." She never communicated with us. A pinata was included in my son's party package and the hostess never did anything with it. She explained how to open it and said we could just take it home if we wanted. I thought that was strange considering the hostess at a different party table next to us was inviting all the kids up to the front to break open their pinata while she assisted with it. My son was supposed to receive a voucher for 1000 tickets as part of his party package and we had to ask for it after the party was over because the staff forgot it. All the kids were supposed to receive dippin dots with the party package as well and that was also forgotten. With so many things going wrong, we didn't realize it till we left. There were just so many issues throughout the whole evening and I really can't say anything positive about this experience. It was a mistake to book our party here and we will definitely be going elsewhere next time. It's not worth the...
Read moreI will start off first by saying that my kids, like many other kids, love this place. I find this to be a rather affordable activity for them, especially with how much fun they have while we are there. You can also snag coupons off of their website that can be used right from your phone to add a bit of a discount. They also run special pricing for things on certain days of the week, so keep an eye out for that.
I found this location to be clean, organized, and overall well maintained. Some of the employees seemed less than thrilled to be there, and I can't say that I blame them as I can only imagine what they deal with on a regular basis.
One of the best amenities is the revamped food menu (it has gotten way better since I had last been some odd years ago). The pizza is quite delicious and customizable (they even have stuffed crust for a few bucks extra) and there is a salad bar (which I did not have the chance to actually try, though it did look quite good). They have also since added adult beverages (beer and wine) to their menu which could be a favorite for many parents as it allows you to take a bit of the edge off in an environment filled with overly stimulated kids that aren't yours.
I would advise going early during the day on a weekday as it was not busy at all when we went (which was a Wednesday). The later in the day it got, the more packed it started to get. By the time we left (maybe around 6 pm) there was a good size line forming at the door. I imagine this location does get quite busy on the weekend as well. When it starts getting busy, things do take a bit longer as it seems there are only a few employees working at a time.
With that being said, I will be heading back to this location again when the kids are itching to play some arcade games and...
