Gordon Food Service Store — Local services in Novi

Disappointed with the Novi location. On Sunday, I reserved two items online at around 10 a.m. I received an email confirmation stating that my order was successfully placed with a pickup time at 1 p.m. When I arrived at 1:20 p.m. I was told that the store was all out and minutes later, at 1:22 p.m., I then received an email that the store was out. I was told by the manager that the order is not confirmed until I receive an email stating as such. That's unprofessional. If the store could not fill the order, I should have received an email right after placing, not 3 1/2 hours later. (BTW, the store had the merchandise in inventory when I made the order). I come here on a regular basis... at least once or twice a week. This location is always out of that one or two items you need. Staff is pretty dismissive. As stated before, I work in the food and beverage industry. I understand shortages with both staff and product. What I don't understand is how rude and dismissive staff members can be. Simply asking if a product is in stock will get you an eye roll and a sigh. The fact of the matter is simple...you work in costumer service. Cashier Alaina was inexplicably rude-worst retail experience I've ever had. My four young children heard her mumble under her breath while she simultaneously rolled her eyes and sighed at my request she not continue to place heavy items on top of my bread.
