Words can't describe my appreciation for Oxford Taylor. They went above and beyond my expectations!!! You see my mom bought a beautiful wedding gown at Elizabeth's Bridal. We had the gown fit but then we found out that my daughter was pregnant. So, I informed Elizabeth s Bridal who didn't work with us and told me that we would have to buy another gown!!! I couldn't believe she could even have the nerve to say such a thing! My daughter was distraught! Her grandma paid a lot of money for her gown and she wanted to keep this gown. So I went to Oxford Taylor. The owner could see how upset I was and the first thing he said was : "Breath, take a breath and relax. We will get this taken care of." That in itself was comforting to me. Then he had a seamstress who worked a true miracle!! I was blown away with what an incredible job she did on the gown!! It looks just like the gown my mom purchased but expanded. I was thinking it'd be totally another gown and not resemble the original gown. But this seamstress truly outdid herself!!!! The gown was absolutely beautiful!!! You can see that my daughter is pregnant but the dress looked amazing!! Everyone kept commenting on how beautiful her gown was! So, we were extremely pleased with the work Oxford Taylor did!! Not only did they work a miracle with her gown but Oxford Taylor's customer service is outstanding!!! I strongly recommend Oxford Taylor for all who want...
Read moreTook my dress here based on a recommendation of a friend. Brought my dress in and a gentleman marked everything with chalk (only way I can think of to describe it). Got a call a few days later and was told I needed to come back in because my dress was marked incorrectly and it could not be altered the way it was marked. Picked up my dress and tried it on and noticed it was to short. This is with no heels on and telling them multiple times I like my dress son the longer side. I then took the dress home and noticed that there was stains all down the sides and straps of the dress where the chalk from the first fitting which was done incorrect! I now have to take the dress in to be dry cleaned and see if they can get out stains when the dress has not even been worn. More money out of my own pocket because of their error ridiculous. I also had some pads put in the dress. These were just tacked on in two little spots. They were not even inserted into the lining of the dress. I have always had them inserted into the lining when having dresses altered. Not to mention I’m not sure they are even going to stay in place. I also asked if they were going to be black since that was the sample he showed me. He told me no they would more likely be nude. They were black, they don’t show but still. They ended up taking the dress in at the zipper and now it is all bunched and puckers. I am not impressed with the...
Read moreSo I bought a pair of $230 jeans. I needed them to be altered from the knee down so I went searching for nearby tailors. I noticed Oxford Tailor & Clothing had 5 stars on Google and immediately drove up there to get my pants altered. I walked in and the gentleman working in the back greeted me. I asked him if he could taper my pants from the knee down to a 5.5 inch opening and he went on to tell me that I wouldn't be able to get my foot in the pants and how they would be a little long and would not fit (I have pants that have a 5 inch opening and fit just fine and the cut is supposed to stack which is why they're a little long, which I explained to him). After he charged me $30 up front (way more than any other near by tailors I found out recently) to taper them I left to return shortly after. Once I picked the pants up and got home and tried them on I noticed that the length had been altered to fit how he told me they should after I said no and I noticed that the size of the legs were now different! one is pulled tightly across my calf while the other is baggy. All in all, save your money and time and find somewhere else. This tailor ruined my brand new...
