I really want to love it. It tastes great, but what you get for the price has made it where I won’t be back.
This is the first time I’ve ever had something like this, and the first time I went I couldn’t wait to come back. I got a version of the milk tea with boba. I went back, and tried a different version, but I wanted just a little less boba. So I ordered a different version, but with light boba. After holding mine and my wife’s side by side, they both had the same amount of boba.
I don’t think the boba is horrible, but I felt like I couldn’t just drink my drink and enjoy it without have a bunch of boba to chew on.
So I went again and ordered a small with no boba. It felt like two sips and it was gone. I decided next time I’ll order a large, no boba, light ice. So the next time that is what I went with.
I get my large with light ice and I see it’s about a half inch from the top. I started drinking it when I left. It was gone before I got a mile down the road. I looked at how much ice, and it was about 3/4 of the cup full.
When I got home I decided to see just how much drink I got. I filled an 8oz glass of water and dumped it in. It filled it right to where it was when I bought it.
So I paid $5 for a large, requested light ice, on got an 8oz beverage.
As great as it tastes, I...
Read moreI grew up in Asia, and bubble tea has been a thing since I was 14. Since moving here, I've had trouble finding a bubble tea shop that taste close to what I've had in Taiwan. Most of the places I've been to had weak tea or pearls (ppl here call it Boba) that are either too hard, or too soft. But I'm happy to have found ding tea because this place is legit! The milk tea taste just as good as the ones from Gongcha/Koi (really famous chains from Taiwan) and my favorite honey milk tea is actually on the menu! What I love most is that they use golden pearls and not the black ones, which are so 2012 and are being phased out in stores in Asia. Golden pearls have a much better texture and has a lot more bite. If you've never had real bubble tea, this store is the place to try them. Yes it is very sweet, and that is standard for all bubble tea. If you don't like the sweetness, you can always adjust it by telling them the percentage sugar you want. Default is always 100% sugar. You can go down to 75%,...
Read moreFriendly employees, delicious tea at fair prices. Tea is always consistently good . It's our favorite bubble tea place !
EDIT (APRIL 2024): I hate to drop my rating since I love the tea and the employees are very nice. There are a few issues I've noticed in the last month though. The first being that they no longer will do no ice in the drinks, or even 30 percent ice. As someone who frequents weekly and brings them home to family a half hour away this is disappointing as the drinks end up watery by the time I get them home. Why does the menu still show a no ice, and 30 percent ice option if that is the case? My second issue is the new bubbles are tiny! They have a nice chew but are half the size of the old ones. We may have to start trying out a new bubble tea place due to...
