I really enjoyed working with the store and with Luba directly for an under and above kitchen cabinet lighting project. It was a pleasant experience. However, the store recommended an electrician that did not do good work. This electrician left 4 holes in my walls without indicating he was not going to fill the holes, I am still trying to get an invoice for the paid work, he did not re-install 2 cabinet trim pieces he took down, he did not have the correct parts and I had to make a special drive to the store to pick these up and then he expected me to pay for them and he installed electrical transformers under my dishwasher where there is visible, previous water damage. My husband and I decided to visit Ray's Lighting Center after feeling overwhelmed with picking out all of the lights for our new home. We went without an appointment and were helped by Vanessa. We explained to her the basic look we were going for with our house. She was able to help us choose coordinating lights for the main parts of our house and give us direction for choosing the remaining lights. The Rays Lighting website and "wish list" option make it easy to save ideas and communicate with the sales person when a final decision is made.

I must warn you against using Ray's Lighting in Novi.

The prices are fair, but the service is really and truly terrible. We ordered a fixture and placed the deposit, and called back a few days later, only to find that the order was filed, but never actually ordered.

In other words, they took our money and did not actually order the product. The employee we worked with claimed she forgot to make the order. She called back saying that instead of the 4-6 weeks of waiting promised, our fixture would not arrive until October!
