Despite all orders are pre-ordered online, they made mistakes and tried to replaced one item without telling the customer. This is after they requested to delay the pick-up time. After checking all items at home, we realised that 2 of the items were not correct items. The response from the company was surprisingly unapologetic. The following is the correspondents through text message with the company. See for yourself.
Moose Pastry: This is moose pastry and tea. Some of breads are not ready for 11:15 pick up. We will text you when we are ready. Sorry about that.
Customer: We can be shopping near by. Any expectation time?
Moose Pastry: Great! Thank you.
Customer: Expected time?
Moose Pastry: 12:30
Customer: Ok, thank you.
Moose Pastry: Your order is ready for pickup .
Customer: Photo of Moose Pan - Are these melon pan? We received 2 of those. Photo of Hokkaido Cheese Bun - I assume this is Hokkaido cheese bun?
Moose Pastry: Yes
Customer: Also melon pan?
Moose Pastry: Maybe we put the Moose and no melon pan Is okay for you?
Customer: No. We wanted melon pan. We want refund.
Moose Pastry: So ....how many Moose you got it ?
Customer: 2, as I mentioned before. You guys make too many mistakes.
Moose Pastry: So ....we give you two moose and you still want us refund one melon pan? We don’t have too many mistakes just one missing.
Customer: You can come pick it up from our house if you want. We live in **. We didn't want moose breads. We also ordered 2 eclair and you only had one, despite having it ordered ahead of time. You also changed pick up time, and we adjusted to your convenient time. Refund for 2 melon pan we didn't receive please.
Moose Pastry: Anyway. We refunded
Customer: Please send me the receipt.
Moose Pastry: Sent to your phone
Customer: Thank you. It's a shame because the products you sell are nice, but your costumer service is terrible. Best of luck.
If it wasn't for a terrible customer service and order mistakes, this place would have been a decent...
Read moreAs someone who tried hundreds of bubble tea in more than a dozen states and 10 countries, including Taiwan, Thailand, and Singapore, this shop by far had the worst boba drinks, especially the fruit teas. I took about 2-3 sips of the Passionfruit Tea ($5.75) and requested to change my drink to a plain coffee because the tea had an aftertaste of beetle nuts, but I was denied. This is very uncommon.
My sisters had the Winter Melon Lime Tea - which tasted like expired bitter black tea - and the Kumquat Green Tea - which was so gross that I had to spit it out after I took a single sip; I can't even explain the flavor.
I wasted $27 here. I expected quality due to the high prices and the positive ratings people gave this place on Yelp. Maybe the ratings were mainly referring to the pastries, which we did not try. I'm rating this shop on their fruit teas, and I highly do not recommend ordering drinks from here. Please note that the space is also small and there are minimal...
Read moreAs someone passing through the area from the Bay Area of California, I was really happy to discover this hidden gem. Not only are their pastries delicious and truly authentic Taiwanese pastries and flavors as well as Japanese pastries. Thank you Rita for the wonderful experience and talk!
The customer service is amazing, the pastries are delicious, their boba is also good too! The flavors are legit, they aren't overly sweet like you'd find in a lot of places in California. It was a delightful experience running into another Taiwanese person and Taiwanese bakery in Michigan. The owner is a very kind lady so please don't give them a hard time.
Moose Pastry is a small and independently owned business so please support them if you can! They work very hard to do what they do in addition to their pastries and teas...
