Yoko's Hair Studio — Local services in Novi

I got my long layered haircut at Yokos hair salon for the first time ever today and had an exact idea of how i wanted my hair to look (showed Yoko pictures for reference). Yoko delivered exactly that and more!

Just like what other reviews say, she is friendly, professional, talented, and soo sweet. I plan on going to Yoko from now on and I would recommend this salon to anyone who’s ever had a bad experience at salons, not getting exactly what they want. I think pricing is also fair and cleanliness/sanitary of salon was 10/10 as well.

Don’t be afraid if Yoko answers your phone in Japanese-just say your looking to book an appointment and you’ll be taken care of! She’s very fluent in English as well (if that is a decision factor for you)...

Amazing women with beautiful spirit. But she ruined my hair from the scalp. Had my hair straitened which is a 350$ process for short hair. She flattened my hair to my head so that when it grew out it was permanently bent at 90° angle. Most snapped off on the top of my head. I've had this done by someone else before and turned out beautiful pin straight. Also when straightening with flat iron she didn't run a brush through ahead of flat iron so it was damaging hair beyond scalp hair. It's been a few months and I've had to shave the sides of my head. Top is still completly screwed but don't want to be bald....

Yoko's great for anyone with Asian hair. I've had issues with other hair stylist not knowing how to cut my hair because it's different but Yoko listens and she did a great job. She has many years of experience and will work with your requests. She has since moved to a new location now and works alone, but her prices remain the same. Her clientèle are mostly Japanese people so she answers the phone in Japanese but she speaks English as well and I had no trouble understanding her. Highly recommended for anyone...
