Better Health Market & Cafe — Restaurant in Novi

This review is looooooong overdue but necessary. I've been a patron for years, even longer than most of their employees. The staff, unfortunately, needs significant improvement in customer service—often falling short.

However, I want to acknowledge Amber and Rob for consistently delivering exceptional service—always helpful, polite, and providing excellent assistance!!!

During a recent return today, the store manager Todd (who’s been there for a hot minute!) remarked, “You must have the worst luck. You’re returning things all the time.” Not only is this untrue, rude and unprofessional- but what kind of employee (& yet store manager on top of it??!!) makes comments like this?? NO ONE who should be working in the public with people. That’s for sure!!!

Without the gift cards from family/friends, I might hesitate to shop here due to the subpar customer service. Considering other alternatives would be a worthwhile option.

I would not go unless you want to buy mostly expired food that is not labeled as expired. I bought 2 Indian cold (not frozen) dinners that had chicken in them. I go to heat me up some dinner reading the package and came across the expiration date (freeze by date). Both dates back to may and it’s now Nov. so literally expired 6 months ago what a disaster!!!!! What would they have done and I did not realized and got food poisoning? They don’t care about their customers. I called and spoke to one of the female managers and she was nice and apologized encouraged me to return along with a bag of chips I had eat from them that was expired as well. I come in and a male manger of like produce was stuck up. Did not Apologize for the inconvenience instead went on to say that he could sell it to me half off!!! Half off for chicken that expired 6 months ago no thank you. He would not return my chips because he said he could not send them back. I told him I was going to write a bad review and he told me to go ahead. And then walked away because he did not care how upset I was he is in no way...

If I could the Novi store zero stars I would. I was in the store to look for something I had already purchased. Cathy, (I believe was her name) came over and sought out to help me. I asked her if she had a specific brand in a lower dose which I showed her what I wanted. She proceeded to go to another brand, and when I said do you have this brand in another dose, her resposne to me was "LOOK! , let me explain to you, all our brands are pure." Well that is fine, but it was not what I was asking and I didn't want the specific brand she was pushing on me. I was upset, spoke to the manager, left without any purchases drove 20 minutes to the Livonia, Store on Farmington Rd, where Jonah greeted me, was polite, helpful, explained the items I was looking for and I came home not only with the supplement that I needed but also three others the was recommened. Well Done Jonah. The Novi, store is quite literally in my backyard and I will never return to them, if this is how their customer is...
