When my wife and I told Kenny Baisley that we are not quite ready to buy he was very understanding and said he'd happily stand-by and be ready to help with any housing situation we brought to his attention.
Boy, did he follow through on that assurance! My wife and I were in a hurry to move from a rental unit in Kapolei to another rental nearer to where we work in Aiea, and therefore we inadvisably signed a 1-year rental agreement for a filthy unit in poor condition at a ridiculously high price, in Kaneohe.
Recognizing our mistake just three days after moving into the new unit, we notified the property manager that we were taking advantage of Hawaii landlord-tenant regulations to release ourselves from the rent and move to a new place within 30 days. My wife notified Ken of our predicament - the need to quickly move to another unit for the same or less rent, similarly close to Aiea.
Ken went right to work by personally calling the property manager for a place that his quick research revealed had just been or was about to be listed for rent. Not surprisingly, the property manager took an immediate liking to Ken, and told him of two properties that we could look at with them. Within 48 hours of my wife talking to Ken, we looked at both properties - one a stand-alone house in Aiea, within 10 minute drive of our workplaces; and one (also a stand-alone) right on the water in Kaneohe, just a 20 minute drive to work for us.
If Ken had not gone way above and beyond to connect us with the property manager, and then join us and the property manager in viewing the 2 houses, my wife and I know that we would never have found such a perfect home. We are now in a big beautiful house on the water, with two pets, paying $100 less for monthly rent to a wonderful and professional property manager.
Throughout our very stressful and expensive ordeal of having to move twice within a three week period, and having to argue with an unprofessional and unfriendly property manager (of the condo we moved out of), Ken was empathetic and understanding, and he leveraged his knowledge, expertise and personable communication style to expeditiously make things good for us!
THANK YOU, Ken! When we are ready to buy a home, surely within a year or so, we are definitely going to work exclusively with...
Read moreI waited to be the 100th review because I really cannot say enough great things about the entire team at RE/MAX ALOHA HOMES and especially about the Principal Broker & Owner Ray Prosek!!!
You can do your own research or you can trust my non-biased review because I have nothing to gain from this... My hope is that this review will reach as many people as possible because it would have saved me an incredible amount of time and effort.
When my wife & I were buying our first house, a colleague from work recommended working with an agent that he has worked with. The agent was rude, not willing to listen, and seemed to be in rush to introduce me to her husband who was a loan officer. We then moved on to try to work with an acquittance of ours, who has been a RE/MAX agent at the RE/MAX Honolulu office. She never texted or called us back, even though we literally begged her for help.
After extensive research, we finally connected with Ray Prosek. From the first communication, meeting with him, to successfully closing on a deal--he has been that highly experienced professional that you hope to meet and keep forever!! Ray gave us the confidence that you only get from true experts in the industry. Ray patiently answered all of my questions, went above & beyond during the buying process, and gave us incredible advice that ultimately resulted in saving well over $40k on a house purchase!!
More importantly, if it were not for Ray's help, his excellent team, and his invaluable network, we would have not been able to buy the dream house that we love so much. Buying a home as a veteran with VA Home Loans (especially in HI) was extremely challenging and almost killed our deal. Again, thanks to Ray being willing to help, honestly caring about others, and his strong network, our dream house came true! Ray and the entire team at RE/MAX ALOHA HOMES were able to make it happen.
My wife and I will be forever grateful to have worked with Ray Prosek and the team at RE/MAX ALOHA HOMES. We really cannot say enough great things about them!! Feel free to do your own research (like we have done) or just trust the veteran's word that you will not regret working with these guys!!
Thank you...
Read moreRemax Aloha Homes has been a nightmare management team, starting with the property manager. Remax took over my 2 rental properties, 1 of which is a Chapter 8 rental (subsidized rent) & she did not go through the proper channels to get the Chapter 8 paper work going so the State of Hawaii kept sending my reimbursement to the previous management company. Tenant was sending her portion to Remax, whereas the state at one point did not know where to send my portion so I did not get paid. It became very chaotic & within 6 months of Remax takeover, I wanted out. After 10 months, my manager decided to fill out the paperwork to the state. 10 months!!! In the meantime, portions & I do mean random portions was sent in by tenant, some income from state was going to previous management. Complete chaos, confusion & stress. That was all in 2023. Tenant moved out that November. It is January 2025, I am still unsettled with this account & going to report this company to the BBB. My other tenant, was supposed to be stress free, but when he was late on the rent, I had to call Remax to let them know a month later. They had no idea. He was from another country so he needed a sponsor to help him financially. His rent kept coming late, no penalty was charged so he felt it was ok to be late. After he moved out a year ago, his account was still not settled & the only way I was going to get my rent & water/sewer reimbursement, was to hold his security money. I have since spoken with the manager of that office many, many, many times & I am still missing a portion of rent from that Chapter 8 rental unit. 14 months later, still unsettled. Go to another management team, not this one. Chaos &...
