Bottom line, this is a cheap no-frills Chinese place that will serve you quantity over quality. Not gonna lie though, I felt pretty gross afterwards and severely needed fresh veggies lol. Went there for lunch and got the dinner plate, because honestly it was only like 65 cents extra compared to lunch plate for fried shrimp and fried rice. The sheer amount of options and different items on the plate make it cost effective, but temper your expectations because the food is very meh. Even the pork were all cold, signifying they're just reheating it all out of the fridge. The fried shrimp was way too much batter. The chow mein was good, but the sauce was so gloopy with corn starch. Could only finish half, and debating if I wanna finish the other half for lunch tomorrow

BUT! THE WINNER WINNET GAU GEE DINNER. So the fried gau gee is $14.99 and comes in a portion of 8, but jeez Louise are these the BIGGEST PLUMPEST GAU GEE you ever did see. Like they're so stuff, and worth the price. A side dish of mustard comes too so you can make your own shoyu mustard for dipping. All else, I will just be ordering these gau gee for potlucks.

Service was fine, servers were nice. Lots of tables inside....

Went there today for lunch, first time. I had the roast duck and ginger chicken special. My husband had the lunch special, kau yuk, sweet sour spareribs, noodles etc. The food was mediocre. Borderline tasteless. The service was something to remember forever!!! We were seated on the far right of the restaurant (because the whole left side of the restaurant is filled with boxes, kinda storage room). The man that took our order came only once to give our food and water. When my husband wanted to order something else, he needed to stand up and look for someone because no one was around! Mind you we were not the only customers in there! At the end of our meal my husband went to the register to pay. While my husband was putting his card back into his wallet the waiter came quickly to the table and said to me. "You put tip on table because he no put tip on card. Do that before you go!" We always leave cash tips on the table. Our bill was about $25. I was going to leave $7 ( already in my hand). But because he came up to me in that matter I left 1 cent....

The food here is awsome.from the green tea served at the start of every meal that helps u to relax as it clenses youre palet for the explosion of what in my opinoin is top knotch chinese quizine hawaii has to offer. Hands down biggest gau gee in the 808 state ive ever seen. Must also try the crispy roast pork perfect crunch every time and suculent beyond all expectations goes very well with the shrimp fried rice. To top it all off with a sweet tapioca desert that litterally gets me asking for a portion more to take home snd hide and enjoy all by myself well my hunny can have a taste if shes a good girl lol. Although alot of times the service could be alot better but hey were only human u know ish happens n wen it does the food here will really hit the spot. But u know what they say seeing is believeing . I like to say have a taste n be amazed tell um kay bee sent u jk they prolly wouldent know me...

Typical hole-in-the-wall Chinese restaurant the inside’s a little run down, could use some work lol. But the food slaps. We got the boneless minute chicken with cake noodle, honey walnut shrimp, crispy chicken with shoyu ginger, lup cheong fried rice, beef with sweet sour cabbage, and beef with eggplant. Everything was on point, except the eggplant, that one was just alright compared to the rest. Little tip we figured out: if you’re dining with a group (we had five), instead of ordering a bunch of bowls of rice, you might as well just get a fried rice. It’s around the same price and comes with a healthy amount, maybe not more, but definitely enough to go around, and tastes way better. Lup cheong fried rice is solid. Service was actually good for a Chinese spot, no complaints there. A/C could be stronger, but nothing too bad. Would come back for sure when the craving hits.

my brother & sister-in- law were in town for the day from Big Island. he wanted to go back to Waimalu for the jumbo crispy gau gee. he'd ordered it to take home last time he was here for work. today he ordered his favorite ~ oyster sauce 🐔 w/ cake noodle & the steamed pork hash. we also had beef w/ sweet sour cabbage and s/s spareribs. oyster sauce chicken was good - big pieces of tender 🐔, bite size pieces of cake noodle & choy sum. sweet sour cabbage itself was ono w/ tender pieces of beef. pork hash was ok. piece of s/s spareribs i had was chewy. they went home with the LOs + another order of jumbo crispy gau gee & roast pork 😋 which he'd also taken home last time
