After a horrible Brazilian waxing experience, I needed to find another option besides hot wax. I had been looking into sugaring for a while and a friend recommended Jenny. From the moment, I met Jenny I felt at ease and a sense of sincerity. Her shop was welcoming, impeccably clean and super cute. During my sugaring treatment Jenny was very professional, truthful about the pain and patient. The treatment lasted an hour and fifteen minutes and my opinion is hurt more than regular waxing. Jenny explained that waxing is done while pulling against the normal hair and this causes breakage in the hair and removal of skin, while sugaring is done in the same direction of the hair so you are pulling every hair out by its root. I felt every hair being pulled out for sure!! The sensation feels like getting 15-20 hairs plucked out at once..yeah I know it doesn’t sound fun at all but the results are worth it, I promise!! After 24 hours, the tenderness was gone and I was left with super smooth skin. In 4 weeks, I returned for my second sugaring treatment and I was shocked when the pain was way less and it only took 30 minutes!! With time to spare I decided to try threading. Threading also hurts but the results were incredible because Jenny is able to remove the hair very precisely. No more waxing burns and butchered eyebrows for me. I have been going to Jenny for years. Started with sugaring/Brazilians, eventually added in brow/lip threading, and more recently, Yumi lash lift/tint. Jenny is hands-down the best in her field. She is detail oriented, meticulous, and incredibly knowledgeable. She takes great pride in her work and technique and is always learning ways to make her work even better. I suffered from terrible ingrown hairs in my bikini area caused by mediocre soft wax jobs from other estheticians. My brows always seemed to miss the mark. I had convinced myself that I was doomed to have non-existent lashes that I wouldn’t dare damage with lash extensions. After seeing Jenny, my ingrown are non-existent, brows always on point and unbelievably flawless, and I have insanely princessy lashes that are 100% mine and healthy.
