Although I didn’t buy anything there, you gotta give them credit for the vast collection of different genres, especially the selection of different grades for Gunplas. I was worried that since they’re located in a mall I thought they’ll have to raise the prices a bit than the stock value because of mall rent, but they were actually roughly close to stock value, especially the Gunpla HGs, Ver Ka, and MGs (They were at a range of $5 - 10+ difference)
They do have a loyalty program where if you buy X amount enough, you get an extra item (for example of you were to buy enough items you could get a free extra HG gunpla as a reward.)
Their staff was very nice, and familiar with the products they were sold. I was interested in the Gunpla selection. My example was when I asked if they had an MGEX Strike Freedom in stock (since they had one on their display case), they said they didn’t but they explained that whenever they do get one available they could help with shipping as well, though they did high-ball the MGEX Strike Freedom to ~$200 (Stock is $160 - 170) when they had it on stock. The staff was professional and welcoming (in both entering and leaving) as well.
In the island, they have the most selection of different grades of Gunpla (especially MG) on the shelf. I did take notice on how they also neatly organized each grade to their respective categories and series (whether it’s the variant or...
Read moreThis place is TOO CUTE! They have everything... we picked up an A 10 A Thunderbolt II replica to put together with the war paints and some brushes, brush cleaner, etc... I used the paints to make new phone cases for me and my kids. They go a LONG way and you can cement in the paint when you're done so you can knock your phone around and it won't chip or anything. I'm a totally hobby addict, so I tend to use the same thing I bought for 1 item for 100 other things. They have model cars (big and regular size), aircrafts, D&D items, Magic the Gathering, etc... such a fun place to visit. And it's in the the Pearlridge Center mall, so as mentioned before - parking is super easy. It was a busy Saturday and there was plenty of space for free in the first level of the parking garage that leads you into Macy's when you go across the crosswalk. It's a great mall to visit in general. It reminded me a lot of the nice mainland malls that weren't too huge to handle for normal shopping, and they had your regular brand stores; not all that Gucci tourist trap stuff...
Read moreAll things anime, models, figures, and things related. Selection is great, but you need to have some dollas to spend to get some of the bigger things. If you buy figures and want to see them in person, this is the place to go. But it is usually slightly more expensive compared to online, for obvious reasons. (They have to import them and pay all the shipping, rent, etc.)
The store that they have now is at Pearlridge, and way larger than the one they used to have in Aiea.
The only issue that I have, is that I can't tell who works there, unless they're at the register. If no one was there, the guys who work there look just like customers. Which is fine, just hard to tell who they are if it's your first time there.
But their customer service is awesome, which makes up for the lack of differentiating them from customers.
Another awesome thing is that if you're a loyal returning customer they have perks that they offer, which is awesome.
Overall great experience. Wish I could afford to buy...
