Studio 1 Salon — Local services in O’Fallon

I debated on writting a review....I decided to because I feel others need to be aware of how they conduct business. I went in for a color...the stylist who it the professional made a suggestion on what would look good on me...she talked about an ambre (which I had no idea was a technique) I called and was quoted a price for a color and cut...I budgeted for 130 dollars that was with a generous too included... I spoke to Heather about how I never get my hair done because it's too expensive and we can't afford it....she seems nice and someone who wasnt going to blind side me...I WAS looking for a hair stylist to continue to go to as I didn't have one....I went in at 11 and left by 1 pm.... I went to check out and the TOTAL WAD 225$!!!! Mind you I have short hair....just past my shoulders....I was so sad and upset...she did refund me 90 dollars...she said she felt bad....she also stated to me that I should have told her my budget! I don't understand why she wanted to know my budget...she should have told me what her services cost before she did my hair...she is the professional.....I will never be back to say the least...I have talked to many of my friends and sister in laws mother who has and does hair for over 29 years and she was outraged with this....saying I was taken adavantahe of and she (the hair stylist) should have mentioned to me the cost and such....I don't even like the color now it's already fading and I got this done on Saturday April 9th.... Beware of this salon.....on top of this.....the one owner encourged this...she didn't care not correct the problem she rolled her eyes at me and was pretty much like "that's the price now pay" attitude..... I would have never in a million years paid 225 dollars to her my hair done ...not ever would I....I won't ever be back there.... I will stick with waiting to get in with my sister in...

After searching for a salon to fit me in on my only time I had available last minute Studio 1 fit me in for a cut and special highlight. I was nervous going in because I had never been there. Abby was down to earth and made me comfortable as soon as I walked in the door. She didn’t rush and listened to my concerns and helped me come up with a cut and color because I wasn’t certain exactly what do with my hair due to grey starting to show in my mid 40s and previous damage. She even wrote down a complete list and pricing for me to see to fit my needs before beginning so I wouldnt have any surprises on my bill. She took extra time and care with each section of my hair to get just the right color blend. I didn’t feel she was rushing to get to another client which was nice for a change. I’m sooo happy with the results. The results turned out amazing. I can’t find any grey and the highlights and blending came out amazing. I look much younger and more put together and feel pretty again. I work Construction and my hair is always neglected and up in a hard hat or ball cap. I finally feel like showing it off and not disappointed after a salon visit....

I absolutely love studio 1. The girls are completely professional and fashion forward. The girls work as a team to promote the best outcome for their costumers. I have sat in the waiting area and under dryers may hours over the last few years and hear nothing but great commentary from the employees and lifting each other up, including encouraging their guests. The many conversations I have witnessed have always been positive and everyone leaves feeling like a million dollars! I can honestly admit, after leaving the salon in the past, my husband and I planned a spontaneous date night due to not wanting to "waste" the beautiful hair do and amazing make up by sitting at home. Studio 1 handled all make up and hair for my wedding, 3 years later people are still commenting on how gorgeous all the girls were in my wedding. They truly go the extra mile to make a girl feel special on a routine visit or a huge event. I love studio 1 and always look forward to going to visit with the girls and catching up with the latest hair and make up techniques and styles. Thank...
