My 2 sons surprised me with a trip to pick out a Mother's ring for Christmas. We had shopped around & finally ended our search at Kay Jewelers on Hwy K, O'Fallon, MO, where I found the ring that I really liked. Ordering was easy & the lady showed us what the stones would look like in the ring. Stones were for February & March. My email receipt was the exact same picture of the ring as what was shown on the lady's laptop. When I picked the ring up, on December 31st, I noticed that the March stone, which is Aquarmarin, did not look like what I was shown when I ordered the ring. It is more clear when you look down at it. At the time of ordering I was not told that the stone could be a different shade of color, as I was expecting the bluish color as I was shown in the picture when I ordered it. I took the ring back Sunday afternoon to the store on Hwy K & when I walked in and went to the back counter where a lady & man was standing behind the counter, the lady said to me very rudely, "Well who are you"? I was taken back by her very rude comment & just kinda stared at her & then she said "Oh how can I help you". I proceeded to tell her about my concerns about the March stone not looking right and she not so politely told me that it was the right stone and that her 2 daughters were March as well and that the stone was correct. She just glanced at the ring when I showed it to her as well, never taking it out of the box to look closer at. She then proceeded to tell me that she would show me the Aquarmarin stones in the case so that I could see that she was right. The gentleman standing next the lady did not say one word. I had enough of the rude customer service that I left very upset. I will most likely not visit the store on Hwy K again or suggest it to anyone else. We ended up driving to the other Kay Jewelers in Washington, Mo & I had excellent customer service there, upon walking into the door & leaving! Heather was very helpful, friendly, & understanding regarding my concern...
Read moreI never review places unless they have significantly made an impression on me. This location has the absolute worst customer service that I’ve experienced. I’d like to start out by saying this is not a review on a product, this is a review on the service from this location only. I have had an engagement ring from them since 2017. In order to keep up to date with the warranty, I have to take the ring in for inspection every 6 months. Every time I do this; they can never find me in the system, they give me trouble for not having a printed receipt, they have an attitude like they would rather do anything other than help me, and they act like I’m an inconvenience for just walking in. This is EVERY TIME I go to this location, no matter who I talk with. I called them recently just to simply ask for a printed copy of the work orders/inspections for the rings to keep for my personal records, as soon as they answered the phone they had an attitude. They started telling me there aren’t any inspections noted or repairs.. this review is not about that. But they continued to complain about their coworkers for not keeping the system updated, which is highly unprofessional in my opinion to talk about fellow coworkers in that manner. Anyways, all I wanted was a copy of my receipt, not a lesson in what I’ve supposedly done wrong or the latest gossip on the company. Even this seemed like I was asking for too much. I recently started working with the Kay’s in West County, and my goodness what a change of pace and relief to feel like they actually...
Read moreThis is not about any store location but more about Kay Jewelers the business. I have bought several things for my wife over the last few years at Kay jewelers including her wedding set. My wife pays the bills in our household but because account is in my name, I have to communicate any issues. Today I got home from work and she asked if I could call about the bill. She paid off the balance but because we were on vacation, it was 1 day late in them receiving payment. Again, the balance was paid off with this payment. We received a bill for $29 due to being one day late. Never missed a payment and never been late before. They refused to waive the $29 fee but offered a one time $15 credit to keep me happy. $29 is not breaking my bank, I will pay the $29 they so desperately need to stay in business, but will NEVER get any...
