Can't speak for the Senior Center, I imagine it's quite lovely. Passport service there was very difficult however. Misled us on the amount of information we needed to submit, ended up getting a letter back denying our application despite being reassured things would be fine. Missing our travel date because we placed our trust in them. Would not have paid expedited fees if I had known. Now I'm down a good chunk of money. And I could handle all this fine was it not for the fact that the staff was dismissive and rude about our attempt to get the passport on time in the first place. There was a period where we didn't have enough identification to submit (not to be confused with the time we didn't but were told we did) and an employee laughed at us while telling us that we might have to cancel our travel plans. I've never actually posted a poor review for a business, I get that working service especially government based service is hard. But I don't have a lot of money, and those plans were important to us, and they weren't good to us. I guess I'm just sore...

I had a great time volunteering here! Everyone that I encountered was friendly and helpful.😇 I was here to help with the "Point In Time Homeless Count". The Center was the operation base for the volunteers, and hub for those in need. They had cold weather supplies, clothing, women's personal care packages, socks, backpacks, and more. They even had coffee and people to talk to.

Based on the massive impact that this one day seems to have had on those without anywhere else to turn to in Oak Harbor, I'd say it's probably time to look into a...

I have recently joined The Center and have signed up for the Tai Chi class they call Mindful Wellness (or something to that effect).

I’ve attended three or four class sessions so far and they are entertaining and informative. I’m struggling a little getting the motions down, but that is just me being in a new class with no experience in the subject.
