A decent store but with a disappointing experience. With Joann's store closing, am on the search for a new home. Needed assistance from the Framing department and "M" was absolutely not having it. Very cross, crabby, and telling me about the store's issues. She recovered once and apologized right before launching onto another snipping spat. All jobs have their days, all people have their moments, but to direct it at a customer who is really enjoying the time at the store, having a nice outing, and understanding the employee is having a bad day and trying to keep the peace? That was way out of line. Direct complaints elsewhere, ask you manager for a way to get through tough moments, tough days. There are other stores and a limited time for this one to welcome transitory customers in. I hope this one does better in understanding what some customers at times face, undeservedly, from employees who don't seem to care enough about making a trip to the store feel like an outing and part of the high point...
Read moreHad a confusion with a “pick up” order that we paid for. I arrived at the store 2 hours after the order was placed. We get to the store to find out the item we bought was given to another customer. We were confused because they “require a photo id” in order to get items already purchased. The employee told me the customer had a fake ID with our info on it and they were impersonating us. I then filed a police report for identity theft because they have our info. As the officer arrived and filed a police report turns out the employee never told us the truth and gave the item out freely and never checked an ID. I find it very frustrating that she mentioned multiple times that they did display an ID. The cameras and the police officer revealed she was not telling the truth. I’m just disappointed in people’s morals and the way the went to handle the situation. It’s a $50 item it’s not the end of the world. Didn’t think I would call the cops but glad I did. Won’t be back. Read moreSome of the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced in the frame department with Melanie and overall management of this location. When you arrive at the frame shop employees will go in the back and almost hide so they don’t have to help you. My order was messed up and they failed to call to let me know or ask how they should move forward with it until I went to pick up. There was no apology given for the mistake. Then when I asked if there was some sort of courtesy discount she could offer she proceeded to tell me that it would cost more to fix it than it would be worth giving a discount. I ended up just asking for my artwork back and a full refund. This location promotes lack accountability and general caring about artwork and confrontation. I would avoid this location altogether or just spend the money to have professionals...
