Kanes in general has by far THE WORST customer service but this store BY FAR should not even be a question for you to turn around and look the other way. If you are looking for a trustworthy, reliable, and communicative furniture store, do yourself a huge favor and walk next door to the next furniture store you see.
My husband and I fell in love with a couch at this store, we waited four days on the decison, came prepared with a book full of questions (in which we were reassured of) by both our sales associate Mark and his manager Kristina, that Kanes customer service is “FANTASTIC”, the drivers that deliver the furniture are to wait for you to unpackage your items PRIOR to leaving to ensure that their are no stains/marks/defects, and lastly that the stain resistant plan we would be purchasing to ensure no stains or minor amounts of liquids seep through to the actual cushion, would be sprayed on in the warehouse, prior to delivery etc etc. Upon recieving the couch, no one waited for us to unpackage it, we found multiple scuffs on the sides of the sectional, different sections of the sectional smelled and felt different than others one even had a faint pee scent/smell to it, and my husband immediately tested it and dropped a drop of water and on the side of one piece of our sectional, the ottoman, it worked the same as the tester that Mark showed us, however, on all other sections the water (even that small few drops, seeped right on into the actual fabric and cushion of the couch. Ofcourse we immediately called just to speak to Kanes “Fantastic” customer service in which the agent was extremely rude and basically gave us a big FU, saying that basically all that we were reassured about, is wrong because due to Coronavirus there is new protocal and procedures. Apart from lacking any sort of customer service, she then hung up and transferred the line to the store in which I spoke to a woman and she sent out an agent within the next week. I asked to speak to the store manager in which she told me he was occupied and that she would have him call me as soon as he was done with his phone call. Ofcourse he never called me back. We also then called the sales associate, Mark who gave us his number in case of any issues with our couch in which he didnt answer, ignored our call, and then texted us within minutes saying that if we had any issues after delivery to contact customer service. Once the tech arrived he said that he does not do stain removal or defects such as the stain resistant issue, that he only comes out for structural damage to the couch. Ofcourse I again reachd out multiple times to Kanes customer service to file a complaint with the director Mitchelle in which I encountered once again, multiple RUDE guest service agents. Michelle finally reahed back out A WEEK LATER TO MY HUSBANDS NUMBER while he was unavailable. All while battling car issues which after finally getting our car repaired we walked into the store on 7/3/20 and spoke to Kristina who was very empathetic and ensured us that she would reach out to us latest by tuesday 7/7/20 in which we waited all day and the rest of the week and never recieved a call or email from her, anyone from this store, or kanes in general, regarding our issue.
I also want to mention the lack of professionalism amongst other associates in this store. The first day we came in, we were fought over like two seagulls with a french fry. The other associate said that what Mark was doing, was wrong and that he was going to go talk to his manager about it, and he made those remarks in front of us because we are a sale.
Moral of the story is, save yourself the stress and look elsewhere because Kanes BY FAR has THE WORST customer service than any other company out there. Read moreI am extremely disgusted with the level of customer service that Kane’s Furniture represents. I called to cancel an order before it was delivered to my house, and was told that I needed to pay $120 to cancel my order. I was very confused, and I asked to speak to a manager, and I was told I was not allowed to since she was “busy”. After driving to the store, the manager told me that since my total is falling under $500 now, I would be required to pay $169.99 for delivery instead of the $50 I originally paid. No one ever disclose that information to me when I made my purchase. I left the store upset since the manager stood by her word, and made me pay the extra $120. I called the corporate office, and that was no help as well. It wasn’t until I called the headquarters, that someone was able to help me. She did not make me pay the extra $120, and credited me back what I was supposed to get. It is really unfortunate that it had to escalate to this level. I will never shop at Kanes furniture again. I will make sure that my friends and family never shop at Kanes Furniture. I will also post this on social media so that other people can see my experience and hopefully not support this business. I also reached out to the BBB. The level of respect this company has for it’s customers is terrible. The salesperson also included the fabric protection on the chairs after I told him I did not want that. That was a slick move. My money was good enough that day in the store, but once the money was collected, I as the customer meant nothing to you and was not valued.

The delivery fee would have been appropriate had the salesman made that clear from the beginning. He knew I was on the fence about the barstools. He even told me, “it may be a blessing in disguise that they are on back order”. Had he told me the price of delivery would change, then I would not have bought a $279 table with $169.99 delivery fee. That’s insane! This was a mistake from your store, and you should have done what was right! I had to find the right person in a higher position to handle this. You as the owner should be visible in your store instead of hiding behind your keyboard.
Salespeople tend to be sneaky to get an extra buck or two from people. Just like how he included $30 for fabric protection after I stated I did not want that.

We ordered a living room set and were ready to pay it completely at the time of purchase, we were advised by the sales rep since this set is for a new home and we have not yet moved in, he recommended we pay little by little until we close then pay it off and have it delivered. A few months went by and we are now closer to a close date so we decide to go and check out dinning sets and make a payment on our sofas. we get a different sales agent this time who sugessts we pay the set in full to guarentee they hold the stock for us. We told her we did not yet have a close date and she told us to call and speak to the warehouse to tell them to hold off on delivery for another 2 weeks. In any case the delivery date was about to come and i forgot to call the warehouse and called the store where i spoke to Michelle who stated they cannot hold delivery and cannot reschedule until we have the keys in our hand. Despite what we were told by the sales agent . Her tone was condescending and uncaring of our situation and what we were told. We finally close on our home and call them to set delivery but this time they cannot deliver for 2 weeks and on top of that one of the items in our package was sold to someone else, after we were told it would secure our order. Today is delivery day and i had received an email cofirming my entire order would arrive. I get all but one peice. I asked the dleivery man and he told me to call Kanes. I call Kanes and I may have gotten Michellle again ( i didnt get her name this time) her tone was the same uncaring tone as it was before and when i asked for my peice she said they got it in today and dont expect it to be delivered until the 30th!! Thiis is ridiculous. You would think for customers who paid IN FULL and Not finance, thety would call another delivery company to go ahead and deliver our item but that was not the case . I am so frustrated and furious with Kanes on OBT. I will never purchase from them again. I much rather go to a different location if i need something from Kanes.
