Stovers Liquidation — Local services in Oak Ridge

The prices can't be beat here, the flooring tile selection is pretty extensive, I was able to find high quality tiles at an incredible price for my small bathrooms. My issue was with customer service. The loaders were great - polite and efficient. Thank goodness for one sales clerk named Lilly - she was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. However, another clerk with long red hair was the absolute opposite. She gave as little information as possible. When it was time for me to buy, I looked for Lilly rather than deal with "Ms. Red". When I changed my mind about the tile for one room, and returned to the store to exchange for different tiles, I had to deal with Ms. Red, and told her exactly what I needed. She entered some things on the computer, walked away and was gone for several minutes. I waited, assuming she was contacting the loaders, and would return to ring me up. When I finally decided to look for her, I found her up front at the cash register checking out customers! She said she was there because "there were a lot of people". I was shocked that she had left me standing there without a word, making it blatantly clear that I was her lowest priority. She eventually came back and ended up giving me a store credit which surprised me, but I assumed I'd been mistaken about the price of the tiles I was returning. I had initially told her I was returning only part of my initial order and would be paying MORE (because the tiles I wanted were more expensive than the tiles I was returning). After leaving, I received a call from her saying that she had rung me up wrong because she had thought I returned my entire order but I had returned only part of my order. I reminded her that I had told her that I was returning only part of my order, as well as mentioned that I would be giving her more money during our transaction. So, back to the store again, this time for an adjustment to correct the transaction. Ordinarily I would only have been mildly annoyed by such a misunderstanding, but after being simply walked away from in the middle of a transaction and then obviously not having my explanation listened to, I was mightily annoyed. This young woman should not be dealing...

We were blessed beyond words by our experience here. (Story below) when we left we were on the verge of tears and so thankful. We stopped to thank God for His kind provision and the kindness of the staff at Stovers.

This place is run by such kind professionals. Their kindness and service and heart to help out are so rare.

Here’s the story. We’d spent the day running around Knoxville trying to find flooring in our budget. This was our last stop. The products we needed were out of our budget for our special ministry project. We discussed what we should do. The owner heard us deliberating and once he realized that it was a ministry project, he jumped in and offered to give us the products we needed for the amount we had available to spend... literally about 50% off.

They were kind, generous, helpful, and professional. I was impressed with the size of the building and their inventory. They sell bulk dishes, trash bags, toilet paper, jackets. It’s a fun shopping experience. Everyone can find something. :)

My husband and I visited this location over 3 weeks ago. We purchased hardwood flooring and several other home construction items. First off, I need to say how well organized this facility is! We have, in the past, visited the store in Cookeville and it stressed me out just walking in the door. Too cluttered! Not a great shopping experience that day! Now...to brag on the staff and the store in Oakridge. Hands down the best experience we've had while shopping for items for our new home! This store is wonderfully organized! Larry Profitt was phenomenal while we were discussing countertops! The entire staff that day was super helpful! We made sure we got their names so I could do this review to brag on them and their service. Thank you Hayden, Caleb and Craig! I failed to get the young girls name at the front desk but we are headed back there tomorrow so hopefully I'll see her then! You folks are awesome...don't change a thing! ...
