I recently visited a location close to my home in Oak Ridge, TN and was severely disappointed by your customer service and the representatives that are the supposed face of the company. I called regarding a book and was quoted the title price of 10.99. Understandable. I told them I would consider it and get back with them. The phone call was pleasant enough, albeit the wait time. And having been hung up on once, forcing me to recall the store, which had a prompt response. I decided to look online and saw the advertised pricing of the book was 8.55. I was overjoyed, if only for a moment. I decided to make a trip to my local store and see if they would honor the advertised price as the online pricing does not state that it was/is an online price. Even offering me the option to check if my local store has it. I made my way down the road. I entered the doors, which were not all that welcoming, and immediately saw exactly what I was looking for. I grabbed the book and continued to browse for a moment allowing checkouts to clear and allowing me a moment to speak with a representative without holding up the line. I was called to the register, "I can help whoever is next!" I approached the counter book in hand. There she stood. A frumpy, 5' 2" woman. Blond as the sun is bright and fat as the Earth is wide. I addressed my concern to her. Speaking properly and to the point, I was determined to walk out with my book and be a happy customer. Apparently, this associate had other plans. Rather than attempt to help or assist me, she proceeded to berate me. "The difference between buying it online and buying it here is, online you don't have me." She spoke with a voice only dogs could here. I requested to speak with a manager. With a grimace and smirk, not a smile, I was told sure. Enter the manager, a tall bearded man, in a "one size too small" purple Polo. I repeated my issue and concern with him and was told that "shipping pays the difference." I was disgusted and appalled. I promptly left, NEVER to return. This is a VERY poor example of how to treat customers and any experience should be at any retail location. I don't often shop for books, but I will NEVER shop and this location again if this is how customers are treated.
Good day.
I understand it's only a 2.00 difference, but that's a coffee I can buy to enjoy...
Read moreGlorifies the postmodern new age witchcraft movement. I'm not complaining because they have a section for these book (tho I'd be quite happy to see them go) but they have several displays throughout the store making it impossible to avoid exposing your children to such secular dangers. The majority of their leather bound blank journals are stamped with new age images and at least one image was demonic. It's so sad to see the south follow in the footsteps of the destroyed west i recently fled. The secular world of new age is full of dangerous lies and they will stop at nothing to manipulate you into believing them. I know because I was deeply involved with it and believed these lies myself for nearly 20 years.
Protect your children, don't let them in this store. You're children can be the light in the darkness when they have fully developed their reasoning, don't risk their salvation because you want to be modern. If you are christian, it is your responsibility to...
Read moreGreat variety of books, toys, manga, magazines and different subjects. Clean store and bathrooms. Very friendly and attentive staff was able to research their inventory online for store and online availability.
However the books I was looking for showed unavailable in the computer, but I found one of them on the shelf (after some lengthy searching). Also, books that showed available in the computer, were not on the shelf. I spent fair amount of time searching the shelves, but it was difficult to determine if the books were organized by author or title. Although, the sections of the store were nicely visible. I'll likely be back since I found a book I have been...
