This Verizon store has really gone down hill with the new leader "manager" Chris Roe. I went into this store on August 15 about 6:15 pm. I was requesting Chris to cancel a line for me and switch all my information from my old phone to my newer phone. While he was helping me, I heard him tell someone over the phone he was the manager.
I've always gone to Oakridge store, I've been a Verizon customer for years and I purchase all my phones and accessories at this store. When I returned home I realized he had not transferred any of the information . I had to drive back to the store and he told me there would be a $40 charge. I've never had to pay that charge before but he assured me they were now charging. He told me how to transfer my information from my old phone to my new phone. There were three sales people in the store and no other clients. So, none of them would help. Chris let me know that he was on commission. So I guess money is more important than customer service. I asked for his business card he said he didn't have any? He also didn't have a name tag? I asked for his name and he replied, " I don't have to give you my name How about that?" I left and went to another verizon store which I got excellent help including an upgrade on my husband's phone which Chris never bothered to even tell me about. I also spent about 350.00 on accessories. Commission? I would never recommend this store because of the terrible customer service and rude treatment from...
Read moreI posted a review a few days ago lamenting about losing my brand new phone right before leaving for vacation, making a claim through my protection plan, having the claim denied b/c they thought it was fraud, finally getting a phone shipped to my vacation destination, then trying to activate it but still being asked to verify my identity via text, when I didn't have a working phone yet. I was so frustrated that I gave up & was without phone service my entire vacation & several days before. No phone for 11 days! I gave a 1 star rating. I am happy to report that the Sunday I returned, I went to my local Verizon store & one of the sales associates got my phone working. He had some tricks up his sleeve, & a lot of my important things were lost, but he managed to recover other things I thought I would lose, like my contacts & photos. The inconvenience was overwhelming, & the security feature Verizon has that asks to send you a text or phone call to confirm your identity when you report your phone as missing is a flaw in their system. The things I lost on my phone were supposedly backed up on the cloud when my new phone was purchased, but apparently they weren't. So, I am thrilled to have a working phone once again, but not happy with what I went through. It shouldn't be that difficult. That's why I only went...
Read moreHad an unfortunate experience today. Got a new phone about a month ago that has started having issues... dropping calls/losing internet. (LG7 7) I also don’t really like the model so I asked about getting a different phone. I do realize that I had 14 days to return it, which I didn't because I thought I just needed to adjust to the difference ( I had a galaxy S8 prior) So the salesman at the store said I could either buy the phone out for $700 and get a different phone or I could file an insurance claim...which of course would result in me having to pay the deductible. So I asked about the warranty.... he said I would have to contact the manufacturer myself! He did give me the number for LG and the website for filing a claim if I decided to go that route. When I asked why they didn't handle the warranty exchange there, he just said that they don’t. So...less than 30 minutes later I'm online with Verizon Customer service and they are happily taking care of the warranty exchange for me. So disappointed that the salespeople at the store were all smiles & super helpful when I was needing to upgrade but now that I have a problem,...
