Mattress Firm Oak Ridge North — Hotel in Oak Ridge

Back in Sept. I went and spoke with Buck about purchasing a mattress, I have a severely messed up back along with chronic cluster headaches and I have 2 fairly LG dogs and a Fat Cat that resembles Garfield who crashes on my bed, that was in a horrible state at this point. I didn't have the funds to go ahead and purchase as I was just getting back to work BUT he STILL took the time to talk to me, to let me try several different mattresses, listened to my issues and what my budget was and from the hour, hour and a half he spent with me I made the decision on what mattress I thought I wanted to purchase. FAST FORWARD to today! I went back to the store and spoke with Buck, still the laid back guy who took time to let me try several different mattresses before I made my purchase. He is very knowledgable and patient. He also ISN'T pushy, nor is he just trying to get you to buy the most expensive mattress in the store. I HIGHLY reccommend the Oak Ridge store, Buck is awesome! Thanks so much Buck for taking the time to show that you actually care if someone gets a good nights sleep! I can't wait to get my mattress delivered....Will update with mattress and review it as well :)

UPDATE: I have had my mattress over a year and I LOVE IT! IT is very well built! I love it! I called Buck when my mattress what delivered, they just need to update who they use for delivery. My mattress got lost and I had a heck of a time getting it. Not Buck's fault as it's Mattress Firm who has the contract with FedEx. But other than the delivery hiccup, I really am pleased with...

O8/30/23 Back for another round. This time I came with cash because I didn't want a 2nd bad experience when they refused my check twice The young man in the store today was absolutely excellent. He was friendly, personable and knowledgeable.

July of 2021 - 2 stars The Oak Ridge staff is fantastic. They are not at fault. They know their stuff, are friendly, kind, very helpful and because of them I made a second attempt at making a purchase.

Mattress Firm uses a check verification firm that is harming their business and reputation. I tried to buy a mattress in March. Check denied, no reason given. Excessively ample funds to cover the check-- didn't matter. Went to the Credit Union and got a cashier's check supported by the CU. Thought I would be sleeping well by the next night. No such luck. Mattress Firm requires a cashier's check be held for ten days while they verify it. Stupid. I cancelled the order. Today, 3 months later, still in need of mattress, I tried again, figuring it was some kind of computer glitch. INSTANTLY denied again. This time I demanded to know why. Ten minutes on hold later, it was INSTANTLY accepted. No explanation. If I were not so impressed with the outstanding young woman who makes this store look good, I would probably have cancelled again.

Mattress Firm upper level management -- have you any idea how embarrassing and upsetting this experience has been for me?? ...

I was looking for a mattress for my elderly mother and had a certain price range. I was met by Cassie. I informed her what I was looking for a mattress and box spring and the price range I had. She inquired further about my mother’s needs and helped us select a bed we had not thought of. One that had an adjustable raising and lowering of the head to assist with getting in and out of bed. The mattress would also help prevent pressure sores. We left the store only to see what was available at two other mattress stores. One store said they had nothing in our price range. The other store took us to the back of the store to show us the low end mattresses and offered no assistance. We went back to Mattress Firm and made our purchase. Thank you Cassie for your patience...
