New owners are far friendlier than previous. I stopped by a couple weeks ago and was happy to learn about the change of hands. The previous owners always were aloof and almost suspicious of people (anglos?) in the store. I never wanted to ask questions about products and it was difficult to engage them in any sort of conversation. Saleem the new owner is a welcome contrast to them. Friendly, outgoing, easy to talk to. The store is packed with spices, cooking oils, rices, and all sorts of household items you won't find elsewhere. I like the packaged spice mixes that let me serve something like Chicken Rogan Josh and other dishes that I never thought I'd be able to produce. Located right next to Bombay Care and open late, it's fun to walk through after a meal and explore what they have to offer. Instant favorite! I originally went to this plaza to stop by another store, but decided to take a look to check the tea and spice scene. I was not disappointed! I walked away with two interesting looking instant chais, loose leaf black tea and chai masala (I mean, I could make my own chai masala but I want to compare where mine stood against an actual Indian blend.)
