I really hate to give this place 2 stars, but Rachel, although she did a decent job on my trim, destroyed my undercut and taper.
Sam cut my hair first and was very thoughtful and listened to my wishes, while Rachel decided to talk and explain more than listen. And he’s honestly the only reason I have 2 stars.
Rachel please be careful with the clippers, you may be new to barbering but you messed up my hairline and I’m upset. I came to you to scissor my 2-3 inches off undercut, not buzz it away with a 1 or 2, so you could give me whatever haircut everyone else has. I do NOT recommend you.
I’m upset, I understand it’s just hair, but I truly expected more as a new client with long hair. Understanding what a new client wants before cutting their hair away, especially when it’s growing hair.
Now, I can’t get the braids I wanted, so that’s that.
UPDATE After leaving review, I was banned as a client. Owner was dismissive of my concerns, giving me more than enough excuses as to why I didn’t get proper service. And was more upset about the review, than my experience.
Definitely, not a place looking for feedback, unless it’s “perfect” and 5 stars.
If anyone can suggest a shop that is capable of handling all types of long curly hair tips types and colors and listens well, please let me know. I’m desperate for equal hair care in the Bay.

Read moreDeeply disappointed by my experience here. I had a family emergency and needed to reschedule my appointment. I called ahead and was assured I’d receive a refund. However, the refund never came, and when I showed up for the rescheduled appointment, I explained that I’d already been charged and didn’t see why I should pay twice after being promised a refund as a new customer.
Instead of resolving the issue, I was stood up for my appointment and later banned from the shop without explanation. The lack of communication and misalignment within their team turned a simple misunderstanding into a truly upsetting experience.
I approached this situation respectfully and in good faith, but there was no accountability or effort to make things right. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend a business that handles customers this way.

Read moreIf a barber doesn't use a comb or scissors on the beard stay away. Clippers run over your beard at different angles will give you a crappy job. Got the buzz cut and beard shave for 85 in under 30 minutes, the reason is because one handed job with clippers only is fast and crappy. I had sent my instructions at time of booking which the barber mentioned when i walked in for appt and also spent few minutes to ask what I wanted, but then makes other decisions by themself to do a low beard line on cheeks to sort of do a strap look. To finish did a razor shave but somehow there is still hair under the beard line in shave area, which i guess doesn't matter as I will spend next 3 weeks to outgrow the wrong line up and get a cut elsewhere. Not worth the money for the cut or time they invest in you. For a 10am appt i was out by 10:27 with $85 spent here. in case owner wants to reply that they don't have client on...
