I am leaving a bad review due to safety. I have a serious gluten allergy and was thrilled when they gave me a special gluten free menu. They had pork buns, dumplings, ramen and spicy rice cakes listed as gluten free. I was thrilled! I ordered dumplings, pork buns and the spicy rice cakes among other items. They also have a grocery store attached and I was a bit skeptical that these items were gluten free so I asked the cashier if he could show me the exact items that I had ordered. The cashier (who was super friendly and helpful) walked me to them. Both items had wheat as their FIRST ingredient! When I brought it to cashiers attention he was horrified and told the cook. The cook angrily said “if it has gluten then she shouldn’t be buying it!”… ummm excuse me? It is on YOUR gluten free menu. I then went and checked the ingredients on the spicy rice cakes and wouldn’t ya know…wheat. So essentially most of what I ordered off the gluten free menu was in fact full of wheat and the cook got mad at me for it. They also had ramen listed on the “gluten free” menu and I can just about promise you that it is not gluten free. I ended up not eating anything I ordered as I can’t trust it.
The grocery section was small but well stocked with lots of Korean snacks and ramen. You can buy most items that cook in the grocery section if you like them or if you need to check labels like I did.
If it wasn’t for the danger of labeling food as gluten free incorrectly I would have given them a much better review. I am glad that I caught the mistake or I would have ended up VERY sick and in terrible...
Read moreI've gone there a few times to pick up Asian food items. Went in a little after 2 PM, Jan 17th. The young man at the counter was impolite and altogether uncommunicative. Stared at me rather than greeting me or even saying anything along the lines of "How can I help you?" or "What'll it be?" I made the mistake of also ordering some sushi, which I'd wanted to try since colleagues/friends said it was decent. I sat and waited, nobody told me how long it might be... Got the sushi home, took one bite, and could tell instantaneously that the tuna was not fresh. Rotten in fact. And the texture was all wrong. I spat it out immediately and the rest went in the garbage. They also didn't even bother to cut the 12-piece sushi roll into 12 pieces. Also discovered that the Thai peanut sauce I purchased expired August 2017. Would like to get a refund but who knows how that might play out since the young man with zero customer service skills never offered me any sort of receipt. This place lost my business for good....
Read moreFrom my experience it did not matter that I was vaccinated an was asked to wait outside on a 90 degree day with my little one. Then my boba tea arrives . From my experience with Boba tea they are supposed to pop in you're mouth and have flavour to them. To were these bobas in my overpriced drink had no flavor, the kids spitting them out I'm spitting them out. Overall not impressed and overpriced. Did not request a refund because I fore seen where that was going to go if you ask me and a young child to wait outside on a 90 degree day mask or not I'm vaccinated and she's a child. Oh and wanted to let my daughter browse an asked about a mask as in my experience every other place on the block is giving them out like hotcakes for free I was pointed to a shelf and told 1 dollar a piece for the...
