Not worth the money. I really wanted to write a good review, but every day seemed to provide a reason to take another star away. Day 1: You get a 3-bedroom suite, but you have to pay for parking beyond 1 space in the visitor lot. Also, on Day 1, upon arriving, we saw duct tape literally holding the floor together, and the floor was coming up (see the photo attached). The beds were quite possibly the worst hotel beds I've ever slept on, and that's compared to the numerous other hotels and condos we've stayed at on the island. If you want to make coffee in the morning, you need to bring your own coffee maker or go by coffee somewhere. The appliances provided are old and don't do the job. Day 3: Many of us started getting sore throats from the dirty air conditioning. You could see the build- up of dust. Also, on Day 3 of 7, the keycode stopped working. Maintenance said they would call. The hotel gave us one physical key to share between 7 people. Guess what - Maintenance never called. So we had one physical key between all of us for the remaining 4 days. You have to walk your trash to the chutes on either end of the hotel. Just walking by other rooms, the AC units were spitting out boiling hot air. Probably getting everyone else sick. Opening the chute, you have to hold your breath. Even from the 12th floor, you could smell that they've never cleaned the area below. On the last day, we had to clear all our own bedding, towels, and linens and place them in specific bags...?? I've never heard of this at any other place. Honestly, it seems like this place was really nice at one point but stopped caring a long time ago. I've seen from other reviews that the Plaza doesn't manage the rooms. Apparently, in order to stay in business, they've sold rooms to outside management companies that you rent from. So, you're not really renting from The Plaza. Hey Plaza, that's the problem! Obviously your customers are fed up with this practice. Read...
Read moreI stayed in condo 510 from 7/20-7/27. When we arrived the air conditioner was not working. The floors were soaking wet and a dirty sneaker print in the wet floors. The comforter was stained with something brown. The bed skirt stained with red material. There was a wet towel under the bed. The screen door to the balcony was broke and just leaning up against the building. I reported all of this on day 1 and a staff member from the plaza came to our room and witnessed it all. He removed the vent from the air conditioner and the filter was filthy dirty. The air conditioning unit did not work. We were given a dirty fan to use for the night and a fan had to be left on the floor because the floors were so wet. We had to walk in the condo with shoes on because it was So wet. Even behind the sofa when you walked in. The staff member pulled it out to get to the air con unit and he saw that first hand. We asked for a refund and we were told the owners refused. I requested one night refund as they did get a cleaner in the unit the following day and fixed the air conditioning unit the following afternoon. The owners refused to refund one night which I thought was fair, when actually I feel we deserved more. This...
Read moreThe condo was seemingly very nice and well kept, but definitely not an OC MD feel; and over priced with a very uptight and rude staff. We stayed in 1508, fridge broke and my husband had to reset and fix that. The dryer vent was completely clogged going out to the main hallway, my husband had to handle that so that there wasn't a fire and the dryer worked. We had no hot water for two full days and my husband had to diagnose the issue, which was a bad breaker. If you have kids be advised, older crowd and not a happy family friendly feel here. Rules seem to also only apply to some. Condo next to us very obviously smoking weed the entire week with nothing said (not that I really care a lot), but God forbid the kids walk to the pool without their shoes if going back and forth from the beach. They wouldn’t even let them in while I went to the beach to get them. Several other rude occurrences with staff about rules. The people that work here must be miserable. When you see this you can only assume that comes from the top down, management needs to work on employee morale and better ways to communicate to paying guests. Do NOT have your...
