Possibly the most impressive customer experience I've ever had.
In early April, I purchased outdoor furniture at Su Casa’s warehouse sale (Ocean View location). We opted to have the pieces delivered/placed in our garage until the weather warmed up.
A couple of weekends ago, it was time to move everything from the garage at the rear of our house to the front porch (up 10 stairs to the deck). The chairs were easy, but the table proved otherwise.
Picture a hockey puck magnified to the size of a large fire pit. With no handles, we couldn’t get any leverage. Just nudging it on the ground proved challenging – it didn’t look that heavy when Su Casa delivered it!
A neighbor suggested we call the store to see if they had any tips for lifting it. Mackenzie (sp?), the woman who answered the phone, patiently and compassionately listened and puts us on hold to get advice.
She returns and to my great surprise, she says they will come over and move the table for us – for free, that same afternoon! An hour later, she calls to tell us the guys are on the way. They arrive within 10 minutes. One of the delivery guys turns out to be Su Casa’s owner.
They propped the giant table on its side and wrapped two heavy-duty straps around it and their wrists. With great care, they moved and put the table in place. In less than 2 hours, we went from an "OMG moment" of panic to solution.
Su Casa sells fantastic indoor and outdoor home furnishings that I want to buy. Even better, the entire team understands what it takes to provide an exceptional customer experience, which makes me want to buy again. This business deserves every success...

Turning to Su Casa, my wife and I were initially impressed with the professionalism, attentiveness, and patience of this local Su Casa store. Unfortunately, some problems arose with the new order, which was in no way the fault of Su Casa (i.e., it was a manufacturer issue). In response, the Su Casa team jumped into action, going well above and beyond at every step to make the situation right. They stood by us wholeheartedly-- creatively thinking outside the box to smooth the way during the interim. They genuinely wanted our experience to be a good one, even in the face of this unanticipated development.
Every single employee we worked with at Su Casa, including the delivery crew members, were exemplary. In the end, we could have bought furniture anywhere. But the proof was when a challenge arose.
