Nordstrom does nothing to enhance positive customer experiences at the location.
The staff are not knowledgeable or able to answer customer questions about merchandise (ex. there are jeans that show waist size but not pant length so I ask a staff member about where I can find a shorter pant length for a certain waist size but she refers me to a higher waist size, which doesn't help!).
I was able to find what I was looking for without any help from staff (it's no surprise why shoppers prefer to do business online where they can research information before placing an order).
The checkout area was not busy and I was the only customer waiting in line but it took several minutes before staff noticed that there's a customer. They appear to avoid looking my way or making eye contact so I'm not sure if they are pretending not to see customers. It was a waste of my time and I considered ditching the merchandise and shopping elsewhere.
Before the checkout staff completes my transaction they ask if I want to get a Nordstrom Rack credit card. This is not a good time to be doing a sales pitch as I am wanting to be out of Nordstrom Rack almost as bad as being at the DMV.
A genuine lack of customer engagement combined with staff permitting customers to be loud and obnoxious promotes an environment that is unwelcoming and stressful.
Next time I will take my measurement sizes and order online to avoid a below par...
Read moreI have gone here several times to look for shoes, and every shoe seems to appear like it has been worn or has some kind of damage to it. I have shown shoes that appear used to the employees at the fitting room, because those are the nearest to the shoe area. Those people always seem more interested in conversing amongst themselves then engaging with customers. They also don't appear to have pride in the products they sell because they didn't seem to care that the shoes seemed used. I stopped going here. The San Marcos location will always be better. This never should have opened. When will this close down? This used to be a grocery store, right? We don't...
Read moreThe customer service at this store is comparable to the Walmart it's next to. Chelsey (spelling?), the MANAGER was extremely rude and unhelpful when I was returning an item, and actually walked away after blurting out it's policy.
I'm a longtime Nordstrom/Hautelook/Rack customer, and spend a good amount of money with this company. Extremely disappointed to be treated this way, especially by a manager. Time to cancel my nordstrom card and move on to stores that still treat their customers,...
