Over the last 4 months I have stayed at the Fairfield in Ocoee 7 times, primarily because of proximity to my business in Winter Garden and because of my loyalty to the Marriott brand. Several weeks ago I reached out to Mr. Gonzalez, the General Manager with several on-going concerns:||Bathroom & Shower - Smell and taste of the water is overpowering. They have a water treatment system issue and/or domestic water heating problem.||Outdoor Pool - isn’t heated. The Hayward heat pump is dead.||Outdoor Spa - continuously loses water and you need to remind the front desk to have it refilled. ||It took 2 emails before Mr. Gonzalez replied back. Essentially telling me that the plumber is working on it and will be fixed as soon as possible. Well, earlier this week - same issues again. Nothing has been corrected. The same nasty smell in the shower, lav sinks. The pool is still cold and the spa still half empty.||Here is the email I sent to Mr. Gonzalez:||I wanted for formally introduce myself. I am a loyal frequent guest of the Fairfield Ocoee and a Platinum Bonvoy member. I’ve noticed that the pool heater has been out of commission for the past 2 months - making the outdoor pool not comfortable for swimming. I love getting back from work early and getting a swim in before dinner!||My company recently expanded into Winter Garden. We are a full service plumbing, heating and air conditioning contractor. Fully licensed and insured in Florida. I’d love to discuss replacement options for the Hayward HeatPro heat pump pool heater that is out of service. Have you considered another heat pump or maybe even a gas heater? I see that you have a gas heater for the spa, why not one for the pool?||Can we further discuss or can you put me in touch with the property maintenance facilities manager?|I am here until Wednesday afternoon - Room 219. My direct cell number is xxx-xxx-xxxx||PS - the facility water softening system needs service! The smell and taste is overpowering - not pleasant and defeating the principle of a salt system (We service those systems too!)||In summary, its obvious management does not care and maintain this property. Rooms are dated. At least the...

Read moreGave Marriott the chance to make things right, didn’t want to have to post such a poor review. But, honesty is the best way to go about reviews, especially when it has to deal with the cleanliness of a hotel room.
We used points to get the room, and arrived at the hotel late. We had our overnight bags and boxes of treats for an event the next day. We started to wind down and set our stuff on the dressers/counter tops. I went in to the bathroom and noticed the toilet seat was dirty. Hairs, stains, urine. The rest of the room looked decent so I didn’t bother to complain. I cleaned the toilet.
The next morning we discovered small ants or bugs all over the microwave area and the desk area. We had purchased $78 worth of Bundt cakes for my daughter’s softball team, never thinking twice about leaving them on the counter. We had set the boxes down and had not noticed the bugs the night before, as it was dark.
In the morning, we saw them in different areas of the room, including where we had placed the boxes. I attached a copy of the $78 receipt for the cakes, and told the customer service agent that cameras in the lobby will show us bringing the boxes of cakes into the hotel and our room.
I have video and pictures of the bugs, however Google reviews is glitching for me every time I’ve tried to post pictures or videos on my last three reviews. I will contact customer service in the morning and update the review & post once fixed.
There was no one at the front desk in the morning to speak to, nor were they answering the phone. I have pictures and videos of us waiting. We were in room 127, and I’m hoping an exterminator was called immediately. I would hate for another family to have an experience like this. I attached the receipt of our room in an email as directed by Marriott, and told them I would provide the videos and pictures when asked. (They stated their email system does not accept them). It has now been 10 days with no update or response.
Beware of bugs if you stay here, don’t set any food...
