Bicycles of Ojai — Local services in Ojai

This is hands-down the most helpful, trustworthy and highly skilled bike shop in the county. I’ve gone to all of them at some point, because I grew up in Ojai and Santa Barbara- Trust me- this one is a real hidden gem.

I’m writing this because I just went to them after bending a derailer and hanger. I asked on a quote for a new derailer, and instead of jumping on a sale, they advised me to come in and have them reposition the hanger with their specialized tool and dial in the bent derailer. Most bike stores would have taken advantage of the sale instead of doing the right thing. After all of that they charged me a minimal amount for all of the service they did. I paid them an extra $5 because they didn’t charge me enough. 😂😂☺️

I went to Bicycles of Ojai looking for a bike to ride on mostly paved and gravel trails. Ron gave me realistic pricing for a variety of new and used options. I bought a used Trek bike from them, saving me hundreds of dollars. On my first ride, the chain would sometimes pop-off during high torque.
