Last week I and my friend both had massages with Tamara at the Ojai Body Essentials. The only words that touch the experience — bliss or or rapture. It was one of the, if not the most heavenly and complete body awakening experiences of my life. Tamara is a tiny woman, but before Tamara I had no idea how powerful and gentle a pair of hands could be. Through the course of the massage those hands discovered every knot and pocket of numbness and hidden pain and as gently and indefatigably as waves of a great slow, warm river tugging on the sand shoreline, wave upon strong overwhelming wave, dissolved my pain and tightness. Tamara, kind, gentle, reached right to what my body was craving, into places long numb to their painful secrets. After a cup of tea and a moment of relaxation, I and my friend walked out blissful believers.

Ojai Skin Revision Staff friendly but not knowledgeable and was not able to communicate over feedback. Sauna Room The sauna in my opinion and understanding needs to be serviced. I do not think the "heater" was correct in the actual temperature of the sauna while I had my session. I have been in many Sunlighten Saunas and always sweat, I felt warm, but never broke a sweat nor did I feel uncomfortable. Upon mentioning this to the staff, I was given what I deem as insufficient answers. I left feeling unheard and like I wasted my time and money. I am super bummed because the staff was friendly and the space was definitely clean. But for the expense and to tell me that the sauna was cooler because it was for 3 people and not one makes no sense, and if this is the case than I feel it is responsible to let the client know this at the time of booking. The whole studio is the best! It’s so peaceful and quiet, I think it’s a diamond in the rough! Beautiful esthetic, calm and exactly what I needed for my spa day! Started with a red light sauna and it was nothing I ever experienced, I chose a program that fluctuated in temperature and stayed the whole 45 minutes, comfortably. Beautiful spa music, gorgeous linens, they don’t cut corners and it shows. Followed by my 90minute facial with all the fancy anti aging goodness. I always get compliments on my skin but I’ve been a client for years and I would highly recommend you start. You won’t regret taking care of yourself, every staff member is so professional.
