sugar cane drink from the laotian vendors cost $10 per drink. the korean corn dogs cost $10 per corn dog. the crepe vendor for some reason thought we ordered a crepe with nutella even though my girlfriend specifically ordered for the non-nutella version and tried to charge me a dollar more than the price. there is nothing to see at this festival. the festival lacks actual cultural showcases. its a bunch of food vendors selling food at over 50% mark up. the only vendor selling food at a decent price was sheesh mahal from what i have seen. they play k-pop music at the stage which absolutely gives me a headache. k-pop is not korean culture its music heavily influenced by western culture. nothing here was redeemable as being culturally authentic to asia. the food vendors are out to make a profit and the prices are absolutely unreasonable. the laotian vendor tried to charge $15 for squid on a stick. no way is this fair price considering how much squid actually costs. i went because my girlfriend likes local events. this event had nothing actually cultural during the time i was there and i wasnt planning on sticking around in a self imposed pedestrian traffic jam and call it a good time. definitely not my...
