Ethan Allen — Local services in Oklahoma City

During our first visit to the OKC Ethan Allen store, we were greeted by Interior Designer Brooke Ryan. I was looking specifically for a chair for our master bedroom and nightstands for our guest bedroom. Brooke provided just the right touch of letting us look and stepping in with information and feedback when needed. After deciding on the chair and nightstands, she came to our home, took measurements, listened to my thoughts on the look and feel I was going for and went to work for us to design the perfect chair for our space and a beautiful transformation of our guest bedroom. We were on a budget and didn't have a lot of money to spend, but that did not change the excellent care, time and attention given to us by Brooke. From the beginning; shopping, design process, updates on the website and through Brooke, to exceptional delivery, I say thank you very much to Brooke and Ethan Allen for making this such a wonderful experience. Update: We had an issue with the armchair we ordered. The back cushion didn’t rest on the arms as it should. Our designer, Brooke (who I think is still wonderful to work with and very talented), assured me that there was no need for me to worry and to continue to use it to see if it would settle down. It did not settle down, and she had the manager of Ethan Allen to start the process of having it replaced. Replacement took multiple phone calls, multiple emails, just to get the process started. It then took months to get the replacement cushion, which did not match the color of our chair, and it still was not made correctly. This was confirmed by the technician that was sent out to replace the cushion. He was to contact the person responsible for repairs with Ethan Allen’s corporate office. To date, we have not received any phone calls from Ethan Allen. At the price point of this chair, we should not have had these issues, and it should have been resolved in a timely manner. We recently shopped for living room furniture with the goal of obtaining quality without overpaying for brand arrogance. The wife of this duo owned a drapery workroom for several years so we had some knowledge to help us achieve our goals. We’d purchased bedroom furniture a decade or so ago from Ethan Allen when we lived in another city and were pleased with our experience. At the OKC store, we met Brooke Ryan, one of their interior design professionals. Brooke was very pleasant to work with and displayed genuine interest in our design ideas (or lack thereof). She offered great ideas and patiently answered our questions. She did not hover or push us with pressure sales tactics. She gravitated to our price points and made us feel like we were on the same team. She spent a lot of time with us over our multiple visits. We shopped at several other stores, but always came back to Brooke and Ethan Allen. We found a quality person in Brooke and quality furniture...

This is a review of my experience with Alicia Zupan, one of the designers at this location. Alicia is a great designer who, after talking to us and coming to our home, quickly got to know our design preferences and gives us excellent ideas and advice. She never tries to oversell us on things, always works within our budget, and uses space efficiently. Alicia is very responsive to questions we have through the entire process. We are always pleasantly surprised by how quickly she pulls design plans together after our initial discussions. Alicia never pressures us to move ahead with purchases before we are ready, but will also let us know if items we had discussed in the past are going on sale. Once we are ready to make purchases, she gets the order in very quickly; everything on her end is done in a time-efficient manner.
