That moment when you realize you were lied to... The interaction with the salesman (Dylan) was very good. He was very informative and did not make us feel rushed. We were unsure whether we wanted to spend almost $7,000.00 or get something cheaper, so Dylan went on to offering things that were supposedly going to help us with this big purchase. He said if apply for a credit card, we would get 0% interest, as long as we paid the full amount within a year. He said that to them is like "cash". We thought it was reasonable so we agreed. He showed us to the Kiosk to fill out the application. After we did that, things sped up quickly and we were given paperwork to sign. We even got sheets for free. We left the store thinking we got a great deal... until we got the first credit card bill from them. We were charged a $79.00 dollar for a rewards membership that we never agreed to. I called Dylan's cell phone, left a voicemail but he never called back. Later, I called the store and another staff member told me that because we applied for the credit card, we agreed to the rewards membership. Nobody told us that, and nowhere in the application process was it displayed so we could opt-out. I was told I was going to get an email confirming the cancelation... and you guessed it, I never got the email. So, I called once again, explaining this whole thing to this lady, (which by the way was very nice) and she said we did not need to apply for the credit card in order to get the 12 months 0% interest!!! I was furious to find out that we were lied to. She transferred me to Dylan's manager, and we were told our membership would be cancelled (still waiting for that email). He tried to get us to not cancel it and take advantage of the "benefits" until the end of the month. We said no, we just want this membership canceled. Oh, and did I mention? they said they cannot refund us the $79.00.
So, thank you so much for the "help". They lost 2 customers over this bulls## and $79.00. I hope it was worth...
Read moreFirst off, it was so refreshing not to be just bombarded buy salesman desperate to make their Commission when we arrived. The girls were more than happy to let us look around while they finished what they were doing. When Krista came to talk to us about what we were interested in we explained what we wanted most and that it would also depend on the financing they would approve us for. She showed us to a kiosk where we could apply for financing was several different companies on our own. That was absolutely wonderful to us. It's much easier to give that kind of personal information and possibly receive several denials on a computer rather than face to face. When we were done we went back to Krista and showed her what we had been approved for and she showed us what our options were. We made our selection and we're ready to take it home. We were somewhat disappointed to find out that we couldn't take it home until tomorrow because people from the warehouse department had left 2 hours earlier. So the next day we came back and were dericted to the cashier. Our cashier was so nice and so sweet but It took her quite some time to do the transaction because the computers were moving so slow and she didn't quitet know how to use the system very well for the finance option we had chosen. So by the time we got done there was nobody to load our furniture selection again. We opted to take it ourselves and load it on our vehicle as we were desperate to have our mattress tonight. I needed this mattress desperately for medical reasons and really did not want to wait another night. I was getting ready to have surgery and had gotten so much worse from the day before to this day that I was now in a wheelchair. I was no good to offer help to my husband in loading this mattress but he did it. We got it home and set up perfectly safe and it is wonderful. It has made a world of difference in my health as well. Thank you...
Read moreBought a Nectar mattress from here. It never fully expanded after delivery. They replaced it with another that also never fully expanded. We repeated this process one more time for a total of three defective mattresses before deciding to return it and get our money back. Mathis told us we could only exchange it for in-store credit, but we couldn't find anything else we liked. Mathis then relented and said we could do a return but only directly through the manufacturer. I called Nectar and they said returns must go through the retailer. Called Mathis back and they agreed to the return, apparently having lied to me about my options the first couple of times. They then told me that the return would cost me $99 because this is a warranty claim that doesn't cover transportation costs. So I paid $99 to get lied to, get three defective mattresses, and waste a lot of my time over the course of three months (2+ weeks between each delivery plus return negotiations). I don't blame Mathis for the defects in Nectar's products, but Mathis's return policies for defective products are terrible and customer service showed zero interest in helping me once the initial...
