On May 13, 2024, we ordered a dining table. They told us we would get a significant discount if we financed. Our intention was not to run credit, but the discounted amount was too big to ignore. So, we financed the table, and it was scheduled for delivery on Friday. Since we were getting a new dining table, we sold the one we had. They came for delivery and helped us assemble the table. However, they forgot to bring the table stand connector that connects the tabletop. This is where the inconvenience started. The same day, after 3-4 hours, the manager showed up with the item and fixed everything for us, only to find out it was not done correctly. So we helped him fix it, hoping it would solve our problem. It was just the beginning. After fixing the top, we tried to assemble our extension table, but the new table mechanism was broken. The manager assured me he would fix this and take care of us, leaving the broken new table at home so we could use it. After 3-4 days, the delivery guy came in and took our broken table to replace it with a new one. But upon installation, I noticed it had some physical damage, so I refused to install it. The delivery guys were nice and assured me they would send me a new one in a couple of days. I got a call from Mathis saying they wouldn't have anything for 3-4 weeks. At this point, I thought, okay, this wouldn't be a problem as long as we can get the broken table installed and use it until the new one arrives. The next day, I called them and asked if they could bring the broken one until the new one was here because we needed a dining table. The customer service was the worst of the worst. Speaking nicely doesn't mean you are helping the customer. They didn't want to listen to my problem and were transferring my calls here and there. After an hour on the phone, they said they would have to refund the money or we would have to wait for the new table. I said yes, refund it so I can buy another ASAP. They only refunded me the table top price, which was around $705. I was like, what am I going to do with these chairs, table stands, and screws? I asked them again if they could fix my issue by delivering the broken one so we could wait for the new one. They told me they would have to refinance the table again. I never thought buying from Mathis would be this difficult. The customer service reps were so unhelpful, I felt like they were just trying to get away from the problem. ***Be Careful with this kind of scam*** Not only my credit was impacted, I lost my time and money. Not to mention I have to shop for a new dinning table again..

I wish I could give zero star to Mathis Brothers. We moved in Oklahoma a month ago and decided to buy furniture from them based on the recommendations. They delivered a king size bed that soon started falling apart. We talked to their service centre. We returned that one and ordered a new king size bed along with other furniture. The new one was delivered to us in a damaged condition. The wood was chipped off on the day of delivery. Moreover, the piece was defective. The side board did not fit into the head board even though we paid for "white glove delivery". The delivery man told us if we put weight on it, it would fit. Now, the side board slightly comes out of the head board when there is no weight on bed and when I sleep on it, it goes down making a cracking noise that is so annoying. I would not recommend Mathis Brother to anyone. They are not worth the price you pay- both in terms of quality of furniture and their dealing with customers. Update: After a month of efforts, Mathis Brothers finally sent a "furniture specialist" to our home. He inspected the bed. His conclusion was that "there was a manufacturing defect in the bed so the problem could not be fixed.: He recorded a video and audio onsite and sent it to the services department and told us that we shall hear from them within 48 hours. Again, today is 7th day and we are still waiting. He recommended that we shall change this bed. But, this was our second bed from Mathis Brother that had issues. Even if they take this bed back and refund us the full amount, there is no compensation for the stress of dealing with them. I won't recommend buying any bed from them. Review of the remaining order: Another bed from the same order was scheduled for delivery on June 6th, 2021. I really hoped that everything would go smoothly this time. But, it’s Mathis Brothers! How they can make everything go right. Their delivery team left wooden slats unfixed to the side board ( see the picture). I noticed when they left my house. I contacted their customer care two times, emailed their sales department once, contacted our sales agent also. No help so far. One lady from the customer care offered that she could only help by initiating return after a week. They are willing to accept return of the bed but they can not send their team with a few screws and bolts to finished the job. This was the last item of my order with Mathis Brothers. I decided not to buy any other furniture from them.

I bought a custom Jonathan Louis Raine sectional from Mathis Brothers not too long ago. I’ve had it around 6 months and it’s a beautiful couch, with one flaw: the springs under the couch have started to pop out of their grooves with enough force that they rip through the lining and touch the floor. This happens with the slightest shift in weight while sitting on the couch. I’ve been able to place the springs back into their grooves but the problem persists and is now spreading through the couch like a disease. I’ve spoken with Jonathan Louis, who directed me to Mathis Brothers, stating that they would need to file a claim on my behalf and submit the proper documentation, which ā€œshould not be a problem for them.ā€ Mathis Brothers has stated that they can replace the springs but would have to wait on an order that would take months to receive since I have a custom couch. They also informed me they have to start with repairs and go in a certain order before more steps are taken to fix the problem. I’ve stated this isn’t a spring issue. Mathis Brothers has insisted there is not much they can do. They’ve also informed me that I would have to bring the couch to them at my expense. Now, this normally would not be a big deal for me, but this is something that is not my fault. I bought a $2,500 + couch from them that I make payments on whilst sitting on broken springs and a couch that dips in the middle. They also mentioned they could pick it up for me but I would have to pay them. I have a 3 year warranty on my couch and, while I understand the complexities of repairs, etc especially during COVID, I’m vastly disappointed in Mathis Brothers. I bought from you. I gave you and I’m still giving you my money. And while I make the payments to you, I’m sinking into my couch because the springs are on the floor. I’m very disappointed that you’ve put all of this on your customer with simply a shrug of your shoulders. I did speak with Desirae who is a customer service rep for you, and she is amazing. She has been trying to help me with this process but there’s not much she can do right now. Mathis Brothers, please do better.

UPDATE 01/29/24: Mathis somehow got in touch with us after this review, even though they replied and said they could not locate my account. They agreed that since the foam cores no longer fit in the old cushion covers, they would replace the ones that were busting open. Flash forward to more than a month later - we get a call that the covers are in and can be picked up. When my spouse went to pick up the covers, he found that only THREE of the FOUR had been ordered. The man who was "helping" him proceeded to argue with him that there were only three bottom cushions on the couch. He pulled up a picture of the couch to show him that there are indeed four bottom cushions - two on the sofa and two on the chaise. The man told him that he "did not see how there are four". ??? We have interacted with this person before and he is incredibly unpleasant. We don't have a problem with HIM but with the actual couch and the eternally disappointing customer service that we have received. Instead of arguing and telling us we are wrong (even when there is a photo to show otherwise), he could AND should have followed up with a supervisor to see what needed to be done. Although he told us he would attempt to order the final cover, we will unfortunately have to call and follow-up with their customer service department yet again because we have zero faith that anyone is attempting to actually assist.

Only come here if you want to buy cheap furniture that the company does not stand behind. I have been fighting with Mathis since AUGUST on a warranty claim on a $2400 couch. The couch was a year old with cushions that were practically disintegrating, a frame that was falling apart, and extreme fabric fraying. We have followed all their suggestions and done what they told us to do, and still it is not enough for them. They replaced the foam part of the cushions for us that was breaking down, but when the cushion covers didn't zip over the cushions, they told us there was nothing they could do. After speaking with management, they sent a technician out to look at the couch who determined that it did in fact need new cushion covers. He told us the covers would be ordered and we would be notified when to pick them up. After over a month, we finally called and were told that Mathis would not be covering the cushion covers. No one ever even called to tell us this or give us a quote for the covers. In addition to that, the representative who we spoke to did not seem to know anything about what was going on and essentially told us its our problem now. The worst thing about the entire situation is that we also purchased an extended warranty THROUGH MATHIS, and they told us that is handled by a completely different company and they are still unable to help us. I am so incredibly disappointed in the entire experience. Mathis is one of the only major retailers in the area, but I will either travel to Dallas or purchase online in the future. At least if I order through Amazon, I have a shot at getting better customer...

I am beyond frustrated. Here is the story. I remodeled my master bedroom and decided on new furniture to be put in. On March 23rd I purchased a Cali-King Bedroom set including bed with under storage, dresser with mirror, night stand, temperpedic mattress, cooling pillows, and mattress protector. Approximately $8000!!! I was told it would take 2 weeks to to get the bed set in because the Cali King is not stocked here in OKC. I thought that was a long time for delivery but agreed. Actually delivery was set up 1 week later March 30th. The delivery guys noticed they had not loaded up the headboard or the slats for under the mattress. They had the headboard in stock but the slats were not. Then i inspected the bed that was delivered and installed and 2 of the legs for the under storage were broke and rhe installers did not mention that at all. So i contacted my salesperson and informed her of the issues. They were going to order anothor storage compartment and the slats. I was told 2 more weeks for the slats. Not happy but waited for arrival. At this time I actually order another basic bed frame for my daughter's room and woukd wait on delivery until every thing was in. I received multiple calls trying to set up delivery on the extras but the slats for the bed were still not in.

On April 10th I was told another 2 weeks. May 3rd and still no contact, I reached back out to the salesperson saying I was getting extremely frustrated with the wait and could she check on the slats. I was then told it would be the end of May. I let her know that was not acceptable to me and I could either return all the products and refund my money or they could do something to make all these issues worth while to me. I was told she would refer me to her manager and they would reach out to discuss with me.

Now it is May 18th and still no slats and not 1 single manager has contacted me. Even after the salesperson saying she had referred this to management multiple times and giving excuses as to why they had not made contact.

8 weeks since purchase and I still do not have a completely functional bedroom and still no answers or contact from management.

This has been a horrible experience. And I really need some answers and someone at Mathis Brothers to step up and provide some sort of good customer service.

NEGATIVE REVIEWS HOLD MUCH MORE WEIGHT THAN POSTIVE ONES. AND RIGHT NOW I RECOMMEND EVERYONE TO STAY CLEAR FROM PURCHASING ANYTHING FROM...
