This one star rating is a first for me. The work on my vehicle has not been completed. I have communicated these issues in person and by sending two emails. There hasn't been any attempt to resolve the outstanding issues. I withheld my review until now because I expected Mineke to contact me before now. I will modify and update this review as necessary.
First Update: Wednesday October 11, 2023
I intend to take my vehicle back today. I'm limited by my health to exact a time. This will mark the third time. The initial problem has not been fixed. I read some of the other reviews and noted one customer had reported being overcharged for parts. I learned that I've been charged more than 100% for the part replaced. The customary up charge is 10%.
I will continue to update and hopefully close my review. I encourage the owner to follow this review.
Second Update: Thursday October 13, 2023
I dropped off my vehicle with a Manager (I will not name the Managers / Service Advisors. If the owner is interested in my story then he can reach out to me).
Later in the day he called and said they could not fix the primary problem due to the lack of parts availability. Also, he commented that I was right about my assessment from the beginning and I believe he understood my concerns. The eCheckIn was completed.
We talked about adjusting the invoice and he was to call me the next day (Thursday). Having not been contacted I called him on Friday. He explained why he didn't reach out yesterday and I was fine with his explanation.
We did agree upon an amount to credit. Basically it was removing the diagnostic charge, half of the shop supplies and brought the up charge on parts from 115% to 35%. Still higher than what is generally charged (10-20%) but I felt he was negotiating in good faith.
I would give three maybe four stars at this point. I recommend Meineke for their basic services.

Read moreAll wheel alignment 2013 Volvo XC90 152k miles. Excellent service, very busy location, make an appt. Or at least have the courtesy to call ahead and see if it's super busy. The poor manager had two phones to his ears when we walked in. I had an appt and was running a bit late and they still took my car in right away. I was in for an all wheel alignment so they did an inspection because, standard and common sense.... it's pointless to expect an alignment to do any good if the car has suspension issues etc . They found my control arm bushings were worn and there was a bit more than would be acceptable play in a tie rod. So, I'll have to go back after I replace those parts.
Even though they were slammed and the phone rings off the hook, Chris the manager was professional, courteous and didn't show or express any frustration. It was overwhelming for me to fathom that kind of walk-in traffic, phone traffic and mechanics needed me in the bays and remaining calm and attentive to every person's call, face to face and whatever else he has to do. I think if they could hire an additional assistant to just relieve some of the phone traffic from Chris it would be a little bit of Chris to perhaps, idk...... breathe? ... But, that's not my business, I suppose. I would recommend this location to anyone who wants competent mechanics under the hood of their vehicle.. I'll update once I've ordered and replaced my control arms and tie rod. Read moreI made an 8:00am appointment approximately 3 weeks in advance for an oil change and tire rotation. I arrived on time and handed over my keys. At 9:00am they pulled my truck in a bay to start the service. 10:00am rolled around and I asked for an update, Chris then informed me they were just getting started. At this time, I told Chris not to worry about the tire rotation. Why are they setting appointments if they can't start on your vehicle for two hours? They finally finished the oil change at approximately 10:30am. I paid and left only to realize they didn’t give me the wheel lock key. Also, when I was backing into my driveway, I smelled oil burning so I popped the hood and found oil had been spilled on the right side of the engine and on the exhaust manifold. Absolutely terrible service, careless, and left a mess. Two and a half hours and only half of the scheduled service was done and that was done in a way inconsistent with good service. Two thumbs down, definitely would not recommend. The only reason I gave one star is because you have to leave at least one star to post a review, otherwise I wouldn’t have given even one. Update; This morning on may to work, the "windshield washer fluid low" message was coming across the screen. I checked and Meineke said they do a complimentary fluid top off with every oil change, though they clearly did not perform this service on my vehicle. Apparently they forgot.
