I visited the store this past Wednesday to purchase a suit for an important interview. Iâve been out of work for a while after being let go following my open heart surgery on December 14th, 2023. My wife recommended this location at Penn Square Mall due to the positive experience I had when I needed assistance after the passing of my baby sister on October 15th, 2023. Since the mall closed at 8 PM, I wanted to ensure I was properly measured for the best fit.
Upon arrival, I was initially assisted by a store associate, as the manager was occupied attending to another customer's child. I explained the significance of the occasion and my desire to look and feel my best considering my recent challenges. The associate made some suggestions, which I genuinely appreciated, given the time constraints before closing.
However, when I tried on the suit, I found that the pants were an inch too long and didnât stay up properly. Rather than finding a smaller size, I was encouraged to purchase a belt and suspenders as a quick solution. Due to my physical limitations, I agreed to this option, wanting to keep the process moving smoothly.
The next morning, I attempted to dress myself but discovered that the dress shirt was too large and the pants required the belt I had purchased, as I couldnât manage the suspenders. Unfortunately, my wife had to come home from work to assist me. After tightening the belt as much as possible, I left for my interview, trying to maintain a positive outlook. However, upon arrival, I had to adjust my clothing multiple times, as it was clearly too large. This situation culminated in an embarrassing moment during the interview when my pants slipped down, almost causing a fall.
After the interview, I shared my experience with my wife, and we decided to return the suit, as the store policy allows free returns within 90 days. Unfortunately, when I visited the store, the associate informed me that the manager was unavailable until Saturday. I returned at 10 AM on Saturday to discuss the matter with her, but I felt my concerns were not taken seriously.
The manager informed me that items that had been worn and had tags removed could not be refunded, stating that the store cannot resell them. I had reviewed the return policy and understood that worn items could be addressed at the manager's discretion. She suggested alterations as an alternative but declined to issue a refund, mentioning that I had seemed satisfied during my initial visit. However, my experience was far from positive.
I requested to escalate the matter, but I felt my concerns were not met with the seriousness they deserved. While I appreciate the offer of alterations, I have decided that the suit serves as a distressing reminder of my experience during the interview and demand a full refund as I had made this purchase...
   Read moreOur sales professional was not very âprofessionalâ. He smelled of cigarettes and looked disheveled. His demeanor appeared aloof and uninterested. We could tell he did not want to be working with us, and likewise we did not enjoy working with him.
At one point while trying on suits, our sales professional simply disappeared and did not reappear until approximately 10 min later when another associate went looking for him. He returned smelling heavily of cigarettes. It was obvious that while we waited for him to return, he was outside taking a smoke break, which extended our appointment time even longer and made us feel as though our rental was of little importance to him.
At one point, while standing at the register ready to pay for the rentals, he tried to move us out of the way to start helping a new customer when all we had left to do was pay and leave. He stated he would help them first then return to us when he was finished with them. Because we previously reserved this time slot as an appointment, we swiftly declined to be moved aside and insisted on finishing the transaction. When we declined, he audibly sighed, rolled his eyes, and begrudgingly continued with our transaction.
At no time were we given a price breakdown. Simply a total to pay at the end. Therefore, we still do not know exactly how much each item cost.
The other staff members at the store were loud and unprofessional. We could hear the entirety of other customerâs conversations with their sales associates throughout our whole experience.
We did not enjoy our experience. In a normal situation, we would have walked away without completing the rental transaction. Unfortunately, due to size constraints of other rental companies, we simply had no choice. I will not recommend MWH to any of my people and likely will not return after...
   Read moreThis was the worst experience I have had buying a suit ever by far!! First of all I bought suit here last year and had a great experience but this year was a different story. Let me start off by saying that I needed help buying a suit, I really had no idea what size I wore or what to even get. I decided to get the full set for $300 deal which was a pretty good deal. The problem was the person that helped us was very rude. The guy that helped us had darker skin and longer brown wavy hair and had a semi feminine voice so if you see him there avoid him. Now let me say what the problem was. I asked him if I could try on 2 different colors of suits because I wasnât for sure which one would I liked better and he said âwell usually people know what color they want before they come hereâ and I said well thatâs why we are here so we can try them on and he didnât say anything. Then I asked him if I could try a white undershirt on underneath so I could see what it looked like and he said uhh sure like he was annoyed with me. Then he didnât even mention until I asked right before checking out if a button up undershirt and a tie came with the deal and he said âuhh yeah that should be free with the deal.â Then after checking out he tried to put my suit in a regular small bag and didnât even ask me if I wanted a big bag that my suit could hang in to keep it nice so I asked him if I could have one and he said âoh uh yeah but that will be $3â I said uh okay yeah I want one still and he seemed annoyed that I wanted one.
