This review is for pottery barn customer service and delivery. Ordered a loft bed, given multiple delivery dates none of which were accurate. The day of delivery i was told late afternoon few hour window, morning of delivery the driver called and said he was 10 minutes away and was approximately 5 hours early. The actual delivery date changed multiple times and was not accurate in any way. The item i ordered went on sale, I called customer service and spoke with "Ronald" he was very nice and seemed helpful. PROBLEM!!! Ronald said no problem we will refund $650 and some change, expect it to be in your account in a few days. Few days later, no funds no response in regards to refund. I reach out and speak with customer service and am told it was denied based off amount of price adjustment has to be approved. Ronald never told me this info, just that funds would be returned. $650 i was told would be returned! Now I'm being told it's denied. I ask to speak to someone in management to resolve the information I was given. I'm on hold for an hour back and forth while customer service relays information to "leadership" "ShyTeonna" came back and forth on the line. Stated leadership said it was denied because item had been delivered for 18 days. When it had been maybe 2 days I had the bed with one of the days being Thanksgiving. So maybe 1 or 2 business days. ShyTeonna never allowed me to speak with Leadership and continued to give me excuses from leadership like I was arguing with a child. I stayed calm in all conversations. One of the first things the customer service line says is the phone call will be recorded, so i asked them to review the conversation where i was given false info. I said if I'm wrong I will let it go, they never offered to listen. Shyteonna eventually said I'll pass on the notes to leadership and you will hear back from them by email. Few days later I received email denied the price adjustment. BUT since I was given false information from Ronald they would offer me to return the bed ( the nearest return site for pottery barn teen is 4 hours from me) and I was given 10% my next order for their mistake in information. Admitting they messed up and gave false information. I reached back to customer service and asked for "leadership" was told let me take information and leadership will reach out for explanation. Days went by without contact. I called back again talked to Scottie, he was extremely nice and listened. The process is the the phone rep then chats with leadership on computer. Then the tell phone rep what to say. Scottie worked hard and eventually got me on the phone with lower leadership. That person listened but said sorry we messed up and the fix is 10% off your next order per policy. After another hour on the phone, she said I'll forward info to my leadership the next level but essentially don't expect any follow-up. I asked when the last time she used a 10% coupon for anything and was excited about it. Again this is $650 I was told i would get back, and pottery barn Admitted miss information but wouldn't do anything other than 10% off future purchase. All this to say, customer service failed along with delivery date multiple changes. Along with, had the date been at all accurate i would have waited for holiday sales. This loft bed was a Christmas gift and I've had delivery trouble with other pottery barn items so I took first delivery. So buyer beware items can go on sale the next day for a large amount and it doesn't matter and if you are told false information they will not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have had the worst experience with pottery barn. Spent about $9,000 in the store on July 4th. They originally had the address wrong, not sure if their fault or mine. I called to change address and they said it would change delivery date... okay thatās fine. My delivery date got changed until today... somehow they showed up two days ago with only two piece??? Communication is lacking on all ends. I had to rush to leave work to meet people who werenāt even supposed to be there until today. Just now received the rest of the products in home hand delivery. One item has a drawer that doesnāt function, and the bench they brought was scratch all over. They are supposed to replace these items, we will see. They also shipped an armed chair UPS and told me the other chair, exact same one, was coming hand delivery but didnāt show up with my order. They are exact same chair... why didnāt they come together? Then I called to tell them I want to exchange two piece and I was told they donāt do exchange.. thatās fine Iāll return and rebuy. They then proceed to tell me that I was credited back for the other arm chair, I ask why... said they were back ordered. Well that would have been nice to know I got credited back the money and never was going receive the chair. When you spend that much money somewhere you expect a certain level of customer service. Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy wife and I are Pottery Barn shoppers over many years. In December 2023 we made a large furniture and accessory purchase and payment in full was required. Pottery Barn delivery dates were suppose to be in February and as of today June 4, 2024, we still do not have all the furniture and accessories we paid for in December. Our order continues to be delayed and even cancelled at one point, without our knowledge. We have no idea why it was cancelled and would not have known if we hadn't called to check on why our order was delayed. Customer service had no answer as well, but decided it was a mistake. We have since returned a rug for credit, and have been waiting for over a month for our refund. We continue to be told a check will come in a week, but it doesn't. To top it off, we have knowledge that some of our order is in a nearby PB warehouse, but they refuse to deliver it until they have the entire order. You would think as many purchases as we have made a Pottery Barn, better treatment would be received. However, after reading multiple reviews, we certainly are not the only ones to be treated badly. I have no choice left but to call my State Attorney General, State Representatives and leave my terrible experience on every Social Media Outlet available. Probably should let my attorney handle...
