We celebrated a birthday here for our first time . Upon entering the restaurant the valet gentleman were exceptional. It was cold and they were very attentive to my mom's handicap needs Entering the restaurant, 3 young ladies were talking behind the poteum, distracted from our arrival. One was wearing tennis shoes and appeared less professional than expected. We were fitted in the dining room. We were quickly greeted by our server and the table attendees. The menu was explained and we were off to a good start. Unfortunately this was interrupted fairly quickly. Some guests had to repetitively ask for refills on drinks and bread . They sat a couple in front of us whom the lady was dressed very seductive. Her female anatomy was more exposed than an guest would care to see if dining with their parents and children. People's can attire can not be controlled , however the dress code should be respected by all guests. After reading the " dress policy" it was disappointing to see that other quests wore sweats, Sweat shirts Tshirts and very revealing attire . Even the concessieres were dressed very casual. Charlestons Restaurant concessieres appear more professional than what was displayed that evening. It's definitely not the place of class to take your family on special holidays or celebrations. Disappointed ! For the price of the meal, you would expect an atmosphere that is a step above an everyday casual restaurant. However the birthday boy enjoyed His steak so thats a plus! The dinner was less than the 5 stars we give Bob's Chophouse(OKC) or Bull in the Alley( Tulsa) ! Hopefully the kinks will be addressed and the reputation of the other Capital Grille Locations can be established in OKC...
Read moreMy wife and I were so excited when Capital grille came to OKC. We had visited in Florida, and could not wait to visit. We were not disappointed
The staff from the person who parked your car, to the greeter, to the wait staff and the management, all were extremely engaging and friendly. You could tell they were truly striving to make this a unique experience that was special. Individually tailored comments directed at each of us and both of us together made this and over the top experience.
The atmosphere was delightful. Jazz music played throughout the restaurant and lended to a very positive upbeat vibe without being noisy.
We were helped by Wes, and his favorite phrase was, "I can make that happen". And he did. Customizations to our order were handled easily along with suggestions for other custom items that we may also wish to add. The service was very attentive.
Prices were typical for a high-end fine dining experience. Our mail-in tip was about $225, and we brought home lots of leftovers.
Are steaks were cooked perfectly and the salads were fabulously presented. She had the beet and goat cheese well I had the Caesar. Both were excellent.
We got two sides with our entrees. The au gratin potatoes and the bacon and cream corn. I do not know what is in the crust on the potatoes but it was unreal good. The creamed corn was about the farthest thing from a can that you could possibly imagine. It had been obviously freshly taken from the cob and the presentation and flavors of both were delicious.
We are already making plans to go back next month for a...
Read moreI will preface this by saying my wife and I have been to Capital Grille in several different states. We have always enjoyed our experiences. Unfortunately our recent visit to the new OKC location was lack luster. The service was absolutely wonderful. However, the food was average to below average. We started with the wedge salad and beet salad. Those were absolutely great. My wife ordered the filet oscar style medium and I ordered the roasted chicken. My wife's steak came out well done so she sent it back. It took almost 20 minutes for them to get her a new dish. When it came out the steak had a gross taste to it so she did not eat it. Furthermore they pre cut the filet which I found odd. We have had filet oscar at many steakhouses not one serves it precut. This drys out the meat in my opinion but they said thats the way they serve it. The roasted chicken dish was also not great. The menu describes the dish as "roasted chicken with mushroom and parmesean risotto." It comes out with a brown sauce on it that was so salty that I had to use a 2nd plate to put the chicken on so I could wipe off all the sauce. The menu makes no mention of a sauce coming on it and the server did not tell me it had a sauce either. It tasted like a beef demi which I found odd to be on top of chicken. The only highlight of the dinner was the coconut cream pie. It was great. I would def come back for dessert but highly doubt I would come back to this location for a...
