Maurices — Local services in Olathe

Usually my visits to any maurices are very pleasant and the staff is very friendly, although that was not the case in this situation. It started when I entered the store. The store had a ok amount of customers in it. I was never greeted when I entered the store. I was with two other girls, one of them on crutches and the other visiting from out of town. We all kind of separated and went to find the things we liked. I was looking for their colored jeggings and could not find them. I asked one of the other girls I was with if she knew where they were and pointed them out to me on the denim wall. They were up too high that I couldn't reach them and had to have one of the other girls I was shopping with help me reach them, again not once assisted by an employee. The other girl I was shopping with on crutches had found things she wanted to try on and has hanging them on her crutches, not once asked by an employee if she needed a fitting room started. An employee finally asked me if I wanted and fitting room and took my things. The other two were not asked and had to start their own room or even used mine after I was done trying on. The other two girls were trying to find a jacket to match a dress, when one of the poles to get things higher up almost hit her, and an associate said that was completely her fault, and never asked her if she could hold her items for her (she was the one on crutches). I love Maurices, but I was not pleased with this store and will not be back to...

I was mentioning to the associate that I was sad about the discontinuation of my favorite perfume and asked if she knew if it was coming back. She was unsure, but gave a reccemendation on a perfume that’s smelled similar to the one I was talking about. As I was looking around the accessories area, the manager came out and either she overheard our discussion or the associate told her/asked her about the discontinued perfume. She said she had not heard of it coming back. I told her that the only place online I can find it was eBay for an outrageous cost. As I was finishing up my return, which the associate actually helped save me money on, so big points for her too, the manager goes to the back and brings out my favorite perfume!! It was a previously used tester, but still full! I was like “ahh yes I can do a little spray and smell like heaven today!” And I handed it back to her. She was like “no, that’s yours to keep.” I was in total shock. If anyone deserves kudos for customer service, it was definitely those ladies!! One happy (and smelling heavenly)...

I love this store and the staff is always stellar! They have a huge selection of reasonably priced trendy clothing, in both plus and regular sizes! The dressing rooms are always clean and the sales staff is very attentive. I like the way they write my name on the door to my dressing room and take clothing into the dressing room and stage it out all cute! That’s a nice special touch! Their rewards program is great too. I especially love the text notices for clearance shopping. Under $50 has a shipping fee, but it can be shipped to the store for pick up, at no charge. Over $50 is free home delivery. The Online clearance sales offer 50-70% off full price. I love it! I just started shopping there about a year ago and I’ve never walked out...
