Ladies who do not look like a typical "gym rat". Be prepared as you may not be welcome here.
Backstory. I work out with a personal trainer that recently was hired on at the Foundation. I was informed I could get a one month pass for $45 to finish out our contract. If I liked the gym and wanted to continue I would then purchase a membership in addition to renewing my contract.
When I arrived to fill out the paperwork I was told at the front desk no such contract exists and it was $100 for a 1 month pass. I asked about a day pass so I could see the facility. I also figured I would talk to my trainer and get everything straightened out, probably a simple miscommunication. Again, told no and it was $100. When I asked why no day pass and such a high charge just to work out, the individual at the front desk said the owner charges high monthly fees because he's trying to get people to sign a yearly contract as it's cheaper. What?!
I was polite and said that was a little high and out of my price range and left. The issue I had was while I was told $100, the men that came in the door that work out with my trainer were given the $45 contract. Interesting.
There are women who literally drive and sit in a parking lot for days if not weeks to get up the courage to walk into a gym because they are afraid of exactly this scenario. Ladies, if you're reading this and one of those women, leave the parking lot of this place and go to another gym. Cross this place off your list because for some employees you're either an easy target to try and upsell or they don't want your type here because of the...
Read moreThe Foundation is hands down the best gym I’ve ever been a part of. The staff is incredible—always welcoming, greeting me by name, and wishing me a great workout. It’s a small thing, but it makes a huge difference in creating a positive atmosphere.
The equipment is top-tier, with just about every machine you could ever need. Whether you’re into weightlifting, cardio, or functional training, they’ve got you covered. But what really sets this gym apart is the community. I’ve met so many amazing people here who push me to be better, both in and out of the gym. The friendships I’ve built at The Foundation have made my fitness journey that much more enjoyable.
It’s also the perfect place to decompress after a long day. No matter what kind of day I’ve had, I know I can come here, put in work, and leave feeling better. On top of that, the owner truly cares about his members. He’s a genuine guy who wants to see everyone succeed, always open to feedback on how to improve the gym.
And I can’t forget one of my favorite parts—it’s 24/7! I’ve worked out on Halloween and Christmas, and it’s great knowing I can train whenever it fits my schedule. If you’re looking for a gym with great people, top-notch equipment, and an owner who actually cares, The Foundation is the place to be.
Excited to see the future...
Read moreGym equipment is nice and spacious, always had a good workout and the powerlifting equipment specifically was great. However, you do need to realize you are working out at a gym with VERY conservative Christian values.
They have a wall of “signatures” that are full of Bible verses at a gym that is full of bodybuilders trying their best to look as vain(y) as possible and don’t think twice about how hyper focusing on their body image is against Christian teaches. Which is fine, but there were many times where other peoples religions or signatures would be blacked out because it didn’t align with their beliefs.
Also, when I cancelled at the end of November, I was told I had to pay one more month, which is fine, but then received a charge on my debit card for another month at the beginning of January even though I turned my key in at the end of December, after over two weeks of back and forth they finally refunded me my money that they owed. Overall a good gym, but beware if those two things...
