The Bridge STL — Local services in Olivette

I visited TheBridge for the first time this past weekend, and it was a wonderful experience! The front of the store that is open to the public is so cute and well-organized and full of goodies, from clothes and jewelry to home decor and shelves full of books! They even have an adorable kids corner as well. Everyone I talked to was kind and welcoming and went above and beyond to show us around and explain their mission. I HIGHLY recommend shopping at their thrift store to help them amplify their impact for nonprofits and community members in the area! This is how your purchases are helping -- as a nonprofit partner, I was able to peruse the back of the warehouse for items to support our clients directly. I walked away with a whole tub of hygiene and child/infant safety supplies that will be distributed directly to our clients this week. I'm so excited to schedule private times for our clients to "shop" for FREE with a dignified shopping experience. Everything from toys and books to housewares to furniture to blankets to clothing -- it's amazing. What a lovely vintage experience. I happened to come when there was a lull in foot traffic so it was easy to find so many great things.

Right off the bat, by organizing everything in rainbow order, it puts the shoppers mind at ease. The space was also designed with accessobility in mind, with plenty of room for people with limited mobiliry. Even their dressing areas were very large and accessible and their prices were reasonable, even for the expensive brands they carry.

l was also really moved by their mission to help people experiencing homelessness receive the things they need. This space also serves as a free store for those in the midst of financial hardship to find clothing and wares they need. And Michelle who assisted me was such a joy; such a passionate and caring individual, who could not love what she does more.

5 stars isn't enough to quantify how much meaning this kind of place adds to a community. The welcoming environment provided by the service given by Michelle and Mikayla (hope I didn't butcher the spelling too bad!) Just adds to the ambiance of the layout and vibe!! We were treated with kindness and respect while shopping. The ladies came up with several items in my husband's and my style and size letting us know they have the most keen attention to detail. Our experience was so incredible and we have been telling everyone we can about how awesome this place is!!!
