I’m very disappointed about my experience today. As I was looking at some dresses, I was approached by an employee, who I believe was the manager, and without asking my size, she suggested that I look on the Arula side (plus size section) of the store. As a woman who fluctuates between sizes based on the material, style, etc., I was upset with the way she assumed I needed to be looking at bigger sizes. I went on about my shopping and about 10 minutes later, was helped by another employee who helped me get a dress from the top shelf. She also made a comment about shopping on the other side of the store. At this point, I was furious. This is not how a shopping experience should go for anyone, no matter their size. Making assumptions about someone’s size is not okay. It’s straight up rude. Next time, maybe these employees should go about a different approach when helping their customers. I had seen the store a few times and wanted to try it out. I had called ahead of time to make sure they were open because the website says 10. The first time I thought the lady said 10 so I went but the door was locked. I called back. Same lady answered and I asked again about the hours and another lady took the phone and was extremely rude and said they opened at 12. It was unprofessional and uncomfortable to have such rude costumer service when asking a simple question when I was confused. After coming into this store a handful of times and never being approached and greeted, I didn’t expect to have the amazing experience I had today. A young lady named Dashiyah welcomed me in and had such a sweet and warm presence. She continued to check on me and assist me as I shopped.
