I had an incident where a staple from an old boot lodged itself in to the heal of my foot. I quickly learned several urgent care facilities wouldn't even attempt to attend to my issue.They claimed that their staff was not equipped to handle this nor did they possess the proper tools for such a situation.

It was recommended that I seek an ER instead. Insurance or not an ER is very expensive compared to Urgent Care. My family and I had a history of using Ortho Nebraska all the way back when it was named Ortho West so I paid them a visit.

A very kind and considerate front end staff member named Luke took extra efforts to listen and address my overall concerns. He had nurse come out to personally consult with me. After we talked about the injury, and my concerns to take on a large deductible for an ER visit, she suggested an incredible solution.

I was scheduled for an office appointment with a podiatrist surgeon Dr. Kiley less than a day and a half later. This even though Dr. Kiley was covering for their second podiatrist that was on vacation. For me, that's a $35.00 copay versus a $1,000.00 copay for an ER visit somewhere else. It might not matter to some, but for me that's huge.

Day of my visit, within minutes I was seen by Dr. Kiley, 2 x-rays, a painless procedure followed next, and I was out of the office all fixed up in 45 minutes or so. An ER visit usually takes hours of waiting just to be seen, let alone the costs involved.

100% satisfied with the entire handling of my case, the treatment process, outcome, and how much care for my situation was given to me from Ortho Nebraska.

Given all the past history of the family and myself receiving incredible service on so many different procedures including physical therapy, I would 100% recommend Ortho Nebraska to family and friends.

I will be honest. It would be a lot easier and half the distance to drive to Sioux City to see and orthopedic specialist...HOWEVER, the care I receive at OrthoNebraska between Dr. Samuelson, Dr. Arnold, and Jack Nickolite PA, I will FOREVER drive twice the distance to see these orthopedic specialists! I always walk out of there feeling like my needs were completely met and that I genuinely was cared about as a patient. Being in the medical field myself I often get asked who I would recommendation as an orthopedic specialist. I like and trust these guys so much I actually keep a brochure on each of them in my office to refer others to get their orthopedic needs met. Thank you for all you do and always making me feel like I am important and walk out knowing you are only a phone call away...

We thought our son sprained his ankle in a wrestling tournament a week and a half ago. The trainer at school recommended getting an x-ray to see if there was a fracture. I tried calling a few in-network doctors for appointments, but they were a couple weeks out. The nurse recommended coming to urgent care which we were reluctant (price-wise, worried it would be hiked up!) but she assured us they bill the same for urgent care as they do for regular office visits.
