This is my husband's Google account. My husband is a veteran and on Veterans day last week we went to take advantage of the sales at Festival like we do every year. Usually I have great things to say about Festival because I am a huge fan of their store hours, their bakery, and a variety of items that I have only ever been able to find at their stores. But because of the TRASH they handed out to the men and women who served their country this year, I am debating on whether they're going to ever have my business again. The bags of ham they gave out were immediately bad. It was turning color when we brought it home and we came straight home when we left the store which is about 2 miles away. By the next day, you could smell it without the refrigerator door even being open. We had to throw it out by the end of the second day. On the 6th of Nov., I bought a loaf of bread at Walmart from Bimbo. Tonight I got the last 4 pieces of that out to make my husband's sandwiches and they were still good. I had to use those because out of the two loaves of bread given to us by festival, two different brands, yesterday when I tried to use the white bread, it was so molded it stunk and hadn't even been opened before that, and today the wheat bread had big green spots all over it. I think the worst part is that I'd already fed him two pieces earlier today that thankfully weren't molded but the entire rest of the loaf was. The one can of liquid death mountain water we were given was the most disgusting water either of us had ever attempted to drink. We are not by any means too good for handouts. We are always appreciative of any blessing we receive. I guess it just bothers me that after two tours in Iraq, Festival just wanted to unload their outdated food that was already bad in the store onto my husband and disguise that as generosity. We've not encountered anything like this before from Festival and I sincerely hope that you'll do better to the ones who come next. No one is asking for food that's entirely free. You could have paid your respects to our veterans by having a good sale or something. But please, if you're going to give stuff away, don't give our veterans garbage that can seriously be harmful to their health. This is...
Read moreA month ago I ordered a cake for my daughter for her wedding and cupcakes. We was told that you had to be paid for the week of the wedding we went Friday called Friday to go pick up the cake to which they said we did not make one because it has to be paid for in the week of the wedding. Friday is in the week of the wedding I said the wedding is Saturday. There was a little bit of a conversation they ended up making the cake and cupcakes in the delivering for free. 150 cupcakes that were supposed to be blue and white which were but it was supposed to be buttercream frosting and it wasn't the blue frosting on there was so nasty people was not wanting to to eat it I had so many leftover. Even wjen i took them home to give out to people tjey did nor want them. They didn't put the Shimmer on the cupcakes like we ask. It was all pretty much a disaster had so many leftover cupcakes I will never ever order a cake there again they just did not do anything that we ask them to do. They just threw it together the night before because they forgot to make it. They said they called us they had 3 different numbers not one of our numbers had a call or a message for sure no message from Festival Foods. As I told the lady if you did call you should have left a message that is the professional thing to do. But there was no message almost no cake and what we did have was crappy cupcakes. When a person ask for something specific and they're paying money to get it they should get it not happy with Festival Foods when the groom specifically asked for buttercream frosting and we got gross frosting. And all they could offer was a free setup and delivery or pre-delivery I...
Read moreVery upset this evening with my experience at Onalaska Festival. I ordered a cake at least 2 weeks ago for my daughters 2nd birthday to be picked up tonight. When I came in they had made a 1/4 sheet cake instead of the 1/2 sheet I ordered. The lady said she could take a cake out of the freezer and decorate it like the one I wanted it'd be about 10 minutes. I asked her if it would look just like the small cake and she said yes, the colors would be just a little darker. After a half hour wait she comes out with a cake nothing like the one I had ordered. She tells me that the cake is free because they messed up and she isn't a cake decorator! That was obvious. Now I felt bad for her, it wasn't her fault but I think the best solution would have been to give me the 1/4 sheet cake that was beautifully decorated and a plain 1/4 sheet cake both free of charge. I have ordered several cakes from here paying at least $40 a cake and they have been beautiful. But something has changed recently. About a month ago I ordered cupcakes for my other daughters Baptism in the shape of a cross and that experience was something else too. They weren't shaped correctly and her name was spelled wrong. I live 30+ minutes away so it's a drive for me. How disappointing, not sure if I'll order anymore cakes from this...
