Milwaukee Burger Company - La Crosse — Restaurant in La Crosse

So 4 of us come to watch Thursday Night Football. We sit close to a tv that we can all view. We notice that there is loud 80’s music playing throughout the whole restaurant. TV’s are showing the Brewers, Thursday NFL football and other sporting events all around. When the game times comes on, we ask a waitress if we can get the volume turned up at least on one tv so we can follow the game. She obliged but within two minutes, the volume is turned off and replaced by the loud music piped throughout the restaurant. When we question this and ask to speak to the manager, we get a young man that tells us the only games that are allowed to have the volume turned up is the Packers, the Badgers or the Brewers games. We ask why they would adapt that rule and he tells us, that is the rules set by management. About two minutes later, he returns and said he placed a call to his manager and his manager confirmed that these are “the rules”. Wow! Simply amazing! I cannot believe they fill the restaurant with tv’s and sporting events but will only turn up the volume for teams that represent the State of WI. Really? We quickly ate our food and drove to Buffalo Wild Wings where we were able to catch the final 3 quarters. I would advise others to avoid this place if you are planning to take in a sporting event other than the Packers, Badgers or Brewers at MBC. Imagine owning a sports bar/restaurant that prefers to play loud music over allowing their customers to take in the game of their choice? I guess trying to accommodate your customers has...

I have eaten here a few times dine-in & carryout. Cheese curds are wonderful. Beer cheese soup is out of this world! Other foods are great. Love the beer choices. That said... I was not impressed with the service this last time. Ordered a online order for pickup. Called after I arrive to because I thought the estimated time was too long. I left the young lady you know I was there and waiting outside it and if I was early there was no rush. She said it was not complete yet and that she would bring it out to me once it was done. I continue to wait patiently. 35 minutes later I walked in only to find out from the manager it was done before the young lady even spoke to me. He had no concern handing me the bag and telling me to have a good night after he admitted the food has been sitting out for 40 to 45 minutes. I helped him do the math figuring he might realize how unfresh this was. He just said I'm sorry we must have gotten busy. I mentioned the fact that I don't really understand why I'm paying full price for food that's been sitting out when I was told it wasn't complete. It took me three or four times of rehashing how long the food had been sitting out in the open for him to then offer to remake the food. This should have been something offered right off the bat considering this was an internal issue. Come on management! Take it as a training opportunity and correct...

I've been here before and it was good. However, this time we ordered online for pick-up. I went to the curbside parking stall called the # and was told the food would be out SHORTLY.... 20 MINUTES LATER STILL NO FOOD. So I went in, tried to say something to the first server I saw but they looked at me and walked away. Then I saw the order pick-up area, so I went there. Two servers looked at me and didn't say anything. No one came over. So I finally called then # from earlier, I said I had been waiting 20 minutes for my food and they asked if I was there so I turned around and stared at the person on the phone and said yes and repeated that I CALLED 20 minutes ago. The person went behind the bar NOT THE KITCHEN AND GRAB THE ORDER. There was no " Sorry for the wait" or anything. So I got my order and went to my car. The food was COLD. THE FRIES WERE SOGGY. I should have taken pictures of the food 😔 The burgers and chicken were edible but the fries were not along with the lettuce. If we hadn't already waited 40 minutes to to eat I would have asked for it to be re done. The website said 17 minutes until order would be ready, then the 20 minutes waiting outside and about 5 minutes inside. I have been here before but this was the first time doing an online pick-up order. I don't know if we would come back and I don't think the servers...
