I shopped in this store during the afternoon on Tuesday 05 November. I found 4 to 5 items to purchase and was happy with my finds. When I went to check out, the wsinting line was so long it extended out of the que area and into the store. It was moving but slowly. When I was third in line, it stopped, and no one was checked out any longer. There were two cashiers. One lady was checking out two women separately as one was I believe her mother who was in a walker. That of course, is not a problem. However, it should not take 25 or more minutes to check them out. The second cashier was waiting on a woman who evidently was having trouble with her credit card or was applying for a card. She was on the cashier's phone. This went on for 25 minutes. Cashing patrons out came to a standstill. We waited and waited. A woman wearing a manager on duty tag came behind the cashiers area and talked briefly to the two cadhiers and immediately left. This happened several times. She was in and out. She never addressed the issue. She could see the line of 15 or more people standing there with the line extending out into the store. The clueless woman with absolutely no management skills didn't get on a register to help, didn't bring another store associate up to help, nothing. She could have assisted the woman with the credit card issue so the cashier could open another register, but no. Absolute mismanagement. Finally, the cashier with the woman with the credit card issue left the woman and opened up the adjacent register. At this same time, the other cashier finally finished with the two women checking out. As I stated, I was third in line. The woman with the credit issue was still on the cashiers phone when I left. Total mismanagement, lack of urgency, and poor customer service. I love TJ Maxx, but we all suffered your poor customer service due to the manager on duty nit witt. Training...
Read moreSad that a lot of things are still sold damaged. I bought something not realizing is was damaged and brought it back the very next day for exchange. However, the plethora of damaged and poor quality items being sold is just one part to even more issues, when I came in to exchange I was met with an employee that must have thought I didn’t belong, despite me shopping there before, because she decided to “keep an eye on me” even though I had talked to someone already about exchanging my damaged item with a new, not damaged, same exact product with same upc and everything. I ended up having my exchange/return with my accuser at the registers to which she demanded I still give her a receipt (despite her coworkers telling her it was not necessary, especially since it was an exchange due to a damaged item and me purchasing it only yesterday). I, however, still complied but my receipts were all together folded up and put in a little pouch I keep in my purse. I told her it might take a minute, (which is why I was hoping for more of a QUICK exchange) but she decided to try and help me by going through my receipts….a complete invasion of my privacy. Tried telling me it was for the cameras sake and that if she didn’t see a receipt she would pay the price, pretty much once again accusing me of theft and clearly not understanding that I’ve read their return policy and completely ignoring all of her coworkers...
Read moreI just had THE WORST retail experience here. I came in to buy a shirt for work, I found two that were decent. I went to the check out lane (mind you the store is empty no one else was in line) and I immediately smile and say hi to the first girl I see who rolls her eyes at me. She asks if I found everything okay and I said yes with a smile. She’s aggressively removing the hangers from the two shirts I picked out. Scans them in and MUMBLES my total to the point where I couldn’t understand her. I pay for it with my card. And the receipt comes out of the machine by her and she literally SNATCHES it so aggressive and slams it on the counter. I’m staring at this girl scared because um what. Then she just stares at me so I reach ACROSS the counter and grab the receipt and my small bag of 2 items. She didn’t say “have a good day” or literally anything, just stares at me so I just turn and leave. I was shocked with her behavior. I get having a bad day but this was just ridiculous. There were two people behind the counter with her that had their backs turned so they couldn’t see this interaction but I’m sure they heard it. This experience was just so unnecessary and I hope the girl at the register has the day she deserves. This interaction was less than 90 seconds but still has me shocked. Tj maxx, hire nicer people. (I wish I saw her name tag but I was just in shock from how I was treated)...
